This part has been declared "not for new designs". It is now
difficult to obtain and we have had no-one come forward with hardware
making it difficult to proceed with the necessary work to move this
driver out of staging.

The device uses two separate chip selects and would require locking
between them which is thought to be difficult to enforce without
non trivial changes in the SPI subsystem. This work simply isn't worth
doing given the status of the part and the fact no one seems to have
gone for a similar hardware design since this one.

If anyone does have access to one of these and is willing to contribute
the time necessary then we can reevaluate dropping the driver.

The equivalent of this is now done via macro magic when
the relevant register call is made. The actual structure
elements will shortly go away.

Change the name of function from adis16060_spi_write_than_read()
to adis16060_spi_write_then_read(). change "than" to "then" as
its time depended.

<title>staging: iio: adis16060: Remove iio_dev mlock and refactor code</title>

The IIO subsystem is redefining iio_dev-&gt;mlock to be used by
the IIO core only for protecting device operating mode changes.
ie. Changes between INDIO_DIRECT_MODE, INDIO_BUFFER_* modes.

In this driver, mlock was being used to protect hardware state changes.

In the driver, buf_lock protects both the adis16060_spi_write() and
adis16060_spi_read() functions and both are always called in
pair. First write, then read. Refactor the code to have
one single function adis16060_spi_write_than_read() protected by
the buf_lock. This removes the need for additional locking via
mlock, so this locking is removed.

Remove &amp; from function pointers to conform to the style preferred in IIO.
(Note that this is fine in staging drivers, but would create too much churn
to do outside of staging, unless otherwise working on a driver).

Done using the following semantic patch

We need to check adis16060_spi_read return code to avoid feeding user
space with bogus data.
While, at it introduce out_unlock label in order to simplify locking
on error path.
