i2c: Make remove callback return void

The value returned by an i2c driver's remove function is mostly ignored. (Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the error is ignored.) So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly. There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to return 0 before. ALSA: Convert strlcpy to strscpy when return value is unused

strlcpy is deprecated. see: Documentation/process/deprecated.rst Change the calls that do not use the strlcpy return value to the preferred strscpy. Done with cocci script: @@ expression e1, e2, e3; @@ - strlcpy( + strscpy( e1, e2, e3); This cocci script leaves the instances where the return value is used unchanged. treewide: replace '---help---' in Kconfig files with 'help'

Since commit 84af7a6194e4 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over '---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances. This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines, I also fixed the indentation. There are a variety of indentation styles found. a) 4 spaces + '---help---' b) 7 spaces + '---help---' c) 8 spaces + '---help---' d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---' e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation) f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---' g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---' In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the following commend: $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada

A lot of places in the driver use onyx_read_register() without checking the return value, and it's been working OK for ~10 years or so, so probably never fails ... Rather than trying to check the return value everywhere, which would be relatively intrusive, at least make sure we don't use an uninitialized value.
