2015-12-08Documentation: fix sysfs-ptpChris Dunlop1-1/+1
s/avaiable/available/g This fixup is already in scripts/spelling.txt. The fix in Documentation/ABI/testing/sysfs-ptp affects documentation of a /sys entry: the /sys entry itself is correct. Signed-off-by: Chris Dunlop <chris@onthe.net.au> Signed-off-by: Jiri Kosina <jkosina@suse.cz>
2014-03-21ptp: expose the programmable pins via sysfsRichard Cochran1-0/+20
This patch adds the sysfs hooks needed in order to get and set the programmable pin settings. Signed-off-by: Richard Cochran <richardcochran@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-09-22ptp: clarify the clock_name sysfs attributeRichard Cochran1-1/+5
There has been some confusion among PHC driver authors about the intended purpose of the clock_name attribute. This patch expands the documation in order to clarify how the clock_name field should be understood. Signed-off-by: Richard Cochran <richardcochran@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2011-05-23ptp: Added a brand new class driver for ptp clocks.Richard Cochran1-0/+98
This patch adds an infrastructure for hardware clocks that implement IEEE 1588, the Precision Time Protocol (PTP). A class driver offers a registration method to particular hardware clock drivers. Each clock is presented as a standard POSIX clock. The ancillary clock features are exposed in two different ways, via the sysfs and by a character device.
