2014-12-04[media] v4l: Clean up sub-device format documentationSakari Ailus1-46/+63
The sub-device format documentation documented scaling configuration through formats. Instead the compose selection rectangle is elsewhere documented to be used for the purpose. Remove scaling related part of the documentation. 2012-07-06[media] v4l: Unify selection flags documentationSakari Ailus1-3/+3
As for the selection targets, the selection flags are now the same on V4L2 and V4L2 subdev interfaces. Also document them so. Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@iki.fi> Acked-by: Sylwester Nawrocki <s.nawrocki@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
2012-07-06[media] v4l: Common documentation for selection targetsSakari Ailus1-6/+6
Both V4L2 and V4L2 subdev interface have very similar selection APIs with differences foremost related to in-memory and media bus formats. However, the selection targets are the same for both. Most targets are and in the future will likely continue to be more the same than with any differences. Thus it makes sense to unify the documentation of the targets. 2012-07-06[media] v4l: Remove "_ACTUAL" from subdev selection API target definition namesSakari Ailus1-14/+14
The string "_ACTUAL" does not say anything more about the target names. Drop it. V4L2 selection API was changed by "V4L: Remove "_ACTIVE" from the selection target name definitions" by Sylwester Nawrocki. This patch does the same for the V4L2 subdev API. 2012-04-10[media] v4l: Add subdev selections documentationSakari Ailus1-24/+178
Add documentation for V4L2 subdev selection API. This changes also experimental V4L2 subdev API so that scaling now works through selection API only. 2011-09-27[media] media: DocBook: Fix trivial typo in Sub-device InterfaceJonghun Han1-1/+1
When satisfied with the try results, applications can set the active formats by setting the which argument to V4L2_SUBDEV_FORMAT_ACTIVE not V4L2_SUBDEV_FORMAT_TRY. 2011-07-27[media] DocBook: Move all media docbook stuff into its own directoryMauro Carvalho Chehab1-0/+313
This patch addresses several issues pointed by Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@xenotime.net> at changeset ece722c: - In the generated index.html file, "media" is listed first, but it should be listed in alphabetical order, not first. - The generated files are (hidden) in .tmpmedia/ - The link from the top-level index.html file to "media" is to media/index.html, but the file is actually in .tmpmedia/media/index.html - Please build docs with and without using "O=builddir" and test that. - Would it be possible for media to have its own Makefile instead of merging into this one? Due to the way cleandocs target works, I had to rename the media DocBook to media_api, otherwise cleandocs would remove the /media directory.
