2010-05-20USB: rename usb_buffer_alloc() and usb_buffer_free() usersDaniel Mack1-1/+1
For more clearance what the functions actually do, usb_buffer_alloc() is renamed to usb_alloc_coherent() usb_buffer_free() is renamed to usb_free_coherent() They should only be used in code which really needs DMA coherency. All call sites have been changed accordingly, except for staging drivers. 2006-12-01usb: writing_usb_driver free urb cleanupMariusz Kozlowski1-2/+1
Allright. As Greg KH suggested I split this big patch into smaller ones to make the changes easier to review. Having no better idea how to split that I split it on a 'patch per file' basis. All those patches clean redundant 'if' before usb_unlink/free/kill_urb(): if (urb) usb_free_urb(urb); /* unlink / free / kill */ I decided not to touch bigger 'if's like if (urb) { usb_kill_urb(urb); usb_free_urb(urb); urb = NULL; } as that would be probably too intrusive. One of patches also fixes drivers/usb/misc/auerswald.c memleak I found when digging the code. All those patches are against 2.6.19-rc4. 2006-10-03remove mentionings of devfs in documentationAdrian Bunk1-6/+1
Now that devfs is removed, there's no longer any need to document how to do this or that with devfs. This patch includes some improvements by Joe Perches. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
