2017-06-22of: update ePAPR references to point to Devicetree SpecificationFrank Rowand1-2/+2
The Devicetree Specification has superseded the ePAPR as the base specification for bindings. Update files in Documentation to reference the new document. First reference to ePAPR in Documentation/devicetree/bindings/arm/cci.txt is generic, remove it. Some files are not updated because there is no hypervisor chapter in the Devicetree Specification: Documentation/devicetree/bindings/powerpc/fsl/msi-pic.txt Documenation/virtual/kvm/api.txt Documenation/virtual/kvm/ppc-pv.txt Signed-off-by: Frank Rowand <frank.rowand@sony.com> Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>
2017-03-17ARM: 8659/1: l2c: allow CA9 optimizations to be disabledChris Brandt1-0/+3
If a PL310 is added to a system, but the sideband signals are not connected, some Cortex A9 optimizations cannot be used. In particular, enabling Full Line of Zeros in the CA9 without sidebands connected will crash the system since the CA9 will expect the L2C to perform operations, yet the L2C never gets the commands. Early BRESP also does not work without sideband signals. Signed-off-by: Chris Brandt <chris.brandt@renesas.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>

2015-12-21ARM: 8484/1: Documentation: l2c2x0: Mention separate controllers explicitlyDirk B1-2/+9
The documentation in l2c2x0.txt is only valid for L2C210/L2C220/L2C310 (also known as PL210/PL220/PL310 and variants). Mention this explicitly. And add a note why this isn't valid for integrated L2 controllers. Signed-off-by: Dirk Behme <dirk.behme@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2015-12-21ARM: 8483/1: Documentation: l2c: Rename l2cc to l2c2x0Dirk B1-0/+93
The documentation in the l2cc.txt is specific to the L2 cache controllers L2C210/L2C220/L2C310 (also known as PL210/PL220/PL310 and variants) and not generic as the file name implies. It's not valid for integrated L2 controllers as found in e.g. Cortex-A15/A7/A57/A53. Reflect this by adapting the file name accordingly.
