Pull clk updates from Stephen Boyd: "The core framework has a handful of patches this time around, mostly due to the clk rate protection support added by Jerome Brunet. This feature will allow consumers to lock in a certain rate on the output of a clk so that things like audio playback don't hear pops when the clk frequency changes due to shared parent clks changing rates. Currently the clk API doesn't guarantee the rate of a clk stays at the rate you request after clk_set_rate() is called, so this new API will allow drivers to express that requirement. Beyond this, the core got some debugfs pretty printing patches and a couple minor non-critical fixes. Looking outside of the core framework diff we have some new driver additions and the removal of a legacy TI clk driver. Both of these hit high in the dirstat. Also, the removal of the asm-generic/clkdev.h file causes small one-liners in all the architecture Kbuild files. Overall, the driver diff seems to be the normal stuff that comes all the time to fix little problems here and there and to support new hardware. This includes fixes for the majority of platforms, including nomadik, samsung, lpc32xx, STi, spear, mediatek, freescale, qcom, realview, keystone, omap, kirkwood, renesas, hisilicon, and broadcom. Files get rearranged on a few platforms, in particular the Marvell Armada 7K/8K device tree files are changed in preparation for future SoC support, based on more than two of the same chips in one package, and some boards get renamed for oxnas for consistency. 2018-01-02clk: qcom: Add A53 PLL supportGeorgi Djakov1-0/+22
The CPUs on Qualcomm MSM8916-based platforms are clocked by two PLLs, a primary (A53) CPU PLL and a secondary fixed-rate GPLL0. These sources are connected to a mux and half-integer divider, which is feeding the CPU cores. This patch adds support for the primary CPU PLL which generates the higher range of frequencies above 1GHz. 2017-12-29dt-bindings: fix the binding of Allwinner DE2 CCU of A83T and H3Icenowy Zheng1-2/+3
The DE2 CCU is different on A83T and H3 -- the parent of the clocks on A83T is PLL_DE but on H3 it's the DE module clock. This is not noticed when I develop the DE2 CCU driver. Fix the binding by using different compatibles for A83T and H3, adding notes for the PLL_DE usage on A83T, and change the binding example's compatible from A83T to H3 (as it specifies the DE module clock). Pull clk updates from Stephen Boyd: "We have two changes to the core framework this time around. The first being a large change that introduces runtime PM support to the clk framework. Now we properly call runtime PM operations on the device providing a clk when the clk is in use. This helps on SoCs where the clks provided by a device need something to be powered on before using the clks, like power domains or regulators. It also helps power those things down when clks aren't in use. The other core change is a devm API addition for clk providers so we can get rid of a bunch of clk driver remove functions that are just doing of_clk_del_provider(). Outside of the core, we have the usual addition of clk drivers and smattering of non-critical fixes to existing drivers. The biggest diff is support for Mediatek MT2712 and MT7622 SoCs, but those patches really just add a bunch of data. By the way, we're trying something new here where we build the tree up with topic branches. We plan to work this into our workflow so that we don't step on each other's toes, and so the fixes branch can be merged on an as-needed basis. This patch adds support for runtime PM to Exynos Audio SubSystem driver to enable full support for audio power domain on Exynos5 SoCs. The main change is moving register saving and restoring code from system sleep PM ops to runtime PM ops and implementing system sleep PM ops with generic pm_runtime_force_suspend/resume helpers. Runtime PM of the Exynos AudSS device is managed from clock core depending on the preparation status of the provided clocks. Add runtime pm support for all clock controller units (CMU), which belong to power domains and require special handling during on/off operations. Typically special values has to be written to MUX registers to change internal clocks parents to OSC clock before turning power off. During such operation all clocks, which enter CMU has to be enabled to let MUX to stabilize. Also for each CMU there is one special parent clock, which has to be enabled all the time when any access to CMU registers is being done. This patch solves most of the mysterious external abort and freeze issues caused by a lack of proper parent CMU clock enabled or incorrect turn off procedure. 2017-09-01dt-bindings: clk: at91: add audio plls to the compatible listQuentin Schulz1-0/+10
This new clock driver set allows to have a fractional divided clock that would generate a precise clock particularly suitable for audio applications. The main audio pll clock has two children clocks: one that is connected to the PMC, the other that can directly drive a pad. As these two routes have different enable bits and different dividers and divider formulas, they are handled by two different drivers. This adds the audio plls (frac, pad and pmc) to the compatible list of at91 clocks in DT binding. 2017-08-30ARC: clk: introduce HSDK pll driverEugeniy Paltsev1-0/+28
HSDK board manages its clocks using various PLLs. These PLL have same dividers and corresponding control registers mapped to different addresses. So we add one common driver for such PLLs. Each PLL on HSDK board consists of three dividers: IDIV, FBDIV and ODIV. Output clock value is managed using these dividers. We add pre-defined tables with supported rate values and appropriate configurations of IDIV, FBDIV and ODIV for each value. As of today we add support for PLLs that generate clock for the HSDK arc cpus, system, ddr, AXI tunnel and hdmi. By this patch we add support for several plls (arc cpus pll and others), so we had to use two different init types: CLK_OF_DECLARE for arc cpus pll and regular probing for others plls.
