2017-06-05Input: add support for the STMicroelectronics FingerTip touchscreenAndi Shyti1-0/+43
The stmfts (ST-Microelectronics FingerTip S) touchscreen device is a capacitive multi-touch controller mainly for mobile use. It's connected through i2c bus at the address 0x49 and it interfaces with userspace through input event interface. At the current state it provides a touchscreen multitouch functionality up to 10 fingers. Each finger is enumerated with a distinctive id (from 0 to 9). If enabled the device can support single "touch" hovering, by providing three coordinates, x, y and distance. It is possible to select the touchkey functionality which provides a basic two keys interface for "home" and "back" menu, typical in mobile phones. The datasheet and application note does not mention an allowed range for the M09_REGISTER_THRESHOLD parameter. One of our customers needs to set lower values than 20 and they seem to work just fine on EDT EP0xx0M09 with T5x06 touch. So, lacking a known lower limit, we increase the range for thresholds, and set the lower limit to 0. The documentation is updated accordingly. 2016-11-08Input: da9062 - update bindings docs to account for da9061Steve Twiss1-15/+30
Add binding information for DA9061 onkey. This patch updates the compatible string "dlg,da9061-onkey" to support DA9061, removes the reference to KEY_SLEEP (which the driver no longer supports) and fixes a typo in the example for DA9063. Supporting KEY_SLEEP was not the general convention and the typical solution should have been for KEY_POWER to support both cases of suspend and S/W power off. This change was sent to the DA9063 ONKEY device driver in a separate patch, but the documentation was not updated at that time. - f889bea Report KEY_POWER instead of KEY_SLEEP during power key-press This patch also adds two new examples, one for DA9062 and one for DA9061. The driver has supported touchscreen-fw-name to specify the firmware to load since it has been merged, but this was omitted from the dt-binding documentation. During review of adding touchscreen-fw-name to the binding documentation it was brought up that there is a standard property name called "firmware-name" for this, which should be used. Since there are no users of touchscreen-fw-name yet, this commit adds documentation of "firmware-name" to the dt-binding documentation and switches the driver over to use this. This commit also makes the driver add a "silead/" prefix to the firmware name from dt before calling request_firmware. That the firmware files are stored under /lib/firmware/silead under Linux is an implementation detail and does not belong in devicetree. 2016-08-29Input: add generic input driver to read encoded GPIO linesVignesh R1-0/+23
Add a driver to read group of GPIO lines and provide its status as a numerical value as input event to the system. This will help in interfacing devices, that can be connected over GPIOs, that provide input to the system by driving GPIO lines connected to them like a rotary dial or a switch. For example, a rotary switch can be connected to four GPIO lines. The status of the GPIO lines reflect the actual position of the rotary switch dial. For example, if dial points to 9, then the four GPIO lines connected to the switch will read HLLH(0b'1001 = 9). This value can be reported as an ABS_* event to the input subsystem. This commit also adds the standard touchscreen properties as optional properties to the edt,ft5x06 binding, these were documented in the focaltech,ft6236 bindingi, but were missing from the edt,ft5x06 doc.
