Prepare first round of input updates for 3.18.
2014-09-11Input: introduce palmas-pwrbuttonNishanth Menon1-0/+36
Many palmas family of PMICs have support for interrupt based power button. This allows the device to notify the processor of external push button events over the shared palmas interrupt. However, this event is generated only during a "press" operation. Software is supposed to poll(sigh!) for detecting a release event. The PMIC also supports ability to power off independent of the software decisions when the button is pressed for a long duration if the PMIC is appropriately configured on the platform. Even though the function is similar to twl4030_pwrbutton, it is substantially different in operation to belong to a new driver of it's own. 2014-09-08Input: add support for the DRV2667 haptic driverDan Murphy1-0/+17
Adding support for the DRV2667 haptic driver. This device has the ability to store vibration patterns in RAM and execute them once the GO bit is set. The initial driver sets a basic waveform in the first waveform sequence and will play the waveform when the GO bit is set and will continously play the waveform until the GO bit is unset. Data sheet is here: http://www.ti.com/product/drv2667 Signed-off-by: Dan Murphy <dmurphy@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>
2014-08-26Input: drv260x - fix binding documentDan Murphy1-12/+11
Update the drv260x dt binding document: - Change the node name to the devices function not the device name. - Add vbat-supply to the example. - Fix indentation of the example. 2014-08-19Input: drv260x - add TI drv260x haptics driverDan Murphy1-0/+51
Add the TI drv260x haptics/vibrator driver. This device uses the input force feedback to produce a wave form to driver an ERM or LRA actuator device. The initial driver supports the devices real time playback mode. But the device has additional wave patterns in ROM. This functionality will be added in future patchsets. Product data sheet is located here: http://www.ti.com/product/drv2605 Signed-off-by: Dan Murphy <dmurphy@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>
2014-08-19Input: atmel_mxt_ts - improve description of gpio-keymap propertyNick Dyer1-0/+11
The below patch improves the documentation for the gpio-property. Stephen Warren has a good example here: https://github.com/swarren/linux-tegra/commit/09789801 trackpad@4b { compatible = "atmel,maxtouch"; reg = <0x4b>; interrupt-parent = <&gpio>; interrupts = <TEGRA_GPIO(W, 3) IRQ_TYPE_LEVEL_LOW>; linux,gpio-keymap = <0 0 0 BTN_LEFT>; }; This maps BTN_LEFT to the 4th bit of the T19 message. 2014-07-21Input: zforce - add regulator handlingHeiko Stuebner1-0/+4
It's possible that the controller has an individually switchable power supply. Therefore add support to control a supplying regulator. As this is not always the case, the regulator is requested as optional. Signed-off-by: Heiko Stuebner <heiko.stuebner@bq.com> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>
2014-07-18Input: add driver for Microchip's CAP1106Daniel Mack1-0/+53
This patch adds a driver for Microchips CAP1106, an I2C driven, 6-channel capacitive touch sensor. For now, only the capacitive buttons are supported, and no specific settings that can be tweaked for individual channels, except for the device-wide sensitivity gain. The defaults seem to work just fine out of the box, so I'll leave configurable parameters for someone who's in need of them and who can actually measure the impact. All registers are prepared, however. Many of them are just not used for now. The implementation does not make any attempt to be compatible to platform data driven boards, but fully depends on CONFIG_OF. Power management functions are also left for volounteers with the ability to actually test them. Add common DT binding documentation for touchscreen devices and implement input_parse_touchscreen_of_params, which parses the common properties and configures the input device accordingly. 2014-05-14Input: sun4i-ts - add support for temperature sensorHans de Goede1-0/+5
The sun4i resisitive touchscreen controller also comes with a built-in temperature sensor. This commit adds support for it. This commit also introduces a new "ts-attached" device-tree property, when this is not set, the input part of the driver won't register. This way the internal temperature sensor can be used to measure the SoC temperature independent of there actually being a touchscreen attached to the controller. 2014-05-14Input: add driver for Allwinner sunxi SoC's rtp controllerHans de Goede1-0/+15
Note the sun4i-ts controller is capable of detecting a second touch, but when a second touch is present then the accuracy becomes so bad the reported touch location is not useable. The original android driver contains some complicated heuristics using the aprox. distance between the 2 touches to see if the user is making a pinch open / close movement, and then reports emulated multi-touch events around the last touch coordinate (as the dual-touch coordinates are worthless). These kinds of heuristics are just asking for trouble (and don't belong in the kernel). So this driver offers straight forward, reliable single touch functionality only. 2013-12-11ARM: tegra: document reset properties in DT bindingsStephen Warren1-0/+6
Update all the Tegra DT bindings to require resets/reset-names properties where the HW module has reset inputs. Remove any entries from clocks or clock-names that were only required to identify reset inputs, rather than referring to real clocks. This is a DT-ABI-incompatible change. It is the first of two changes required for me to consider the Tegra DT bindings as stable, the other being conversion to the common DMA DT bindings. There was a spelling mistake on TSC/ADC binding where "coordinate" was spelled as "coordiante".
