2017-04-10dt: bindings: add pmu0 regs for USB PHYs on Allwinner H3/V3s/A64Icenowy Zheng1-0/+1
Allwinner H3/V3s/A64 SoCs have a special USB PHY0 that can route to two controllers: one is MUSB and the other is a EHCI/OHCI pair. When it's routed to EHCI/OHCI pair, it will needs a "pmu0" regs to tweak, like other EHCI/OHCI pairs in Allwinner SoCs. Add this to the binding of USB PHYs on Allwinner H3/V3s/A64. This includes the newly added Nextthing GR8 platform, which is derived from sun5i/A13. - Some integrator (arm32) changes rely on clk driver changes. - A single patch for lpc32xx has no such dependency but wasn't added until just before the merge window" * tag 'armsoc-late' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (99 commits) ARM: dts: lpc32xx: add device node for IRAM on-chip memory ARM: dts: sun8i: Add accelerometer to polaroid-mid2407pxe03 ARM: dts: sun8i: enable UART1 for iNet D978 Rev2 board ARM: dts: sun8i: add pinmux for UART1 at PG dts: sun8i-h3: add I2C0-2 peripherals to H3 SOC dts: sun8i-h3: add pinmux definitions for I2C0-2 dts: sun8i-h3: associate exposed UARTs on Orange Pi Boards dts: sun8i-h3: split off RTS/CTS for UART1 in seperate pinmux dts: sun8i-h3: add pinmux definitions for UART2-3 ARM: dts: sun9i: a80-optimus: Disable EHCI1 ARM: dts: sun9i: cubieboard4: Add AXP806 PMIC device node and regulators ARM: dts: sun9i: a80-optimus: Add AXP806 PMIC device node and regulators ARM: dts: sun9i: cubieboard4: Declare AXP809 SW regulator as unused ARM: dts: sun9i: a80-optimus: Declare AXP809 SW regulator as unused ARM: dts: sun8i: Add touchscreen node for sun8i-a33-ga10h ARM: dts: sun8i: Add touchscreen node for sun8i-a23-polaroid-mid2809pxe04 ARM: dts: sun8i: Add touchscreen node for sun8i-a23-polaroid-mid2407pxe03 ARM: dts: sun8i: Add touchscreen node for sun8i-a23-inet86dz ARM: dts: sun8i: Add touchscreen node for sun8i-a23-gt90h ARM64: dts: meson-gxbb-vega-s95: Enable USB Nodes ...

2016-09-10phy: bcm-ns-usb3: new driver for USB 3.0 PHY on NorthstarRafał Miłecki1-0/+23
Northstar is a family of SoCs used in home routers. They have USB 2.0 and 3.0 controllers with PHYs that need to be properly initialized. This driver provides PHY init support in a generic way and can be bound with XHCI controller driver. There aren't any public datasheets from Broadcom so we can't have nice defines for all used bits. It means we just follow Broadcom's initialization procedure using their magic values. We were quite lucky actually that Broadcom put some comments in their SDK reference code explaining what given writes are responsible for. 2016-07-25Documentation: phy: Let the rockchip eMMC PHY get an exported card clockDouglas Anderson1-0/+9
As of an earlier change in this series ("Documentation: mmc: sdhci-of-arasan: Add ability to export card clock") the SDHCI driver used on Rockchip SoCs can now expose its clock. Let's now specify that the PHY can use it. Letting the PHY get access to this clock means it can adjust phyctrl_frqsel field appropriately. Although the Rockchip PHY appears slightly different than the reference Arasan one, you can see that the Arasan datasheet [1] had it defined as: Select the frequency range of DLL operation: 3b'000 => 200MHz to 170 MHz 3b'001 => 170MHz to 140 MHz 3b'010 => 140MHz to 110 MHz 3b'011 => 110MHz to 80MHz 3b'100 => 80MHz to 50 MHz 3b'101 => 275Mhz to 250MHz 3b'110 => 250MHz to 225MHz 3b'111 => 225MHz to 200MHz On the Rockchip version of the PHY we have less granularity but the idea is the same. 2016-07-04phy: rockchip-usb: should be a child device of the GRFHeiko Stuebner1-10/+17
The usb-phy is fully enclosed in the general register files (GRF). Therefore as seen from the device-tree it shouldn't be a separate platform-device but instead a sub-device of the GRF - using the simply-mfd mechanism. As the usb-phy is part of the kernel for some releases now, we keep the old (and now deprecated) binding for compatibility purposes. 2016-07-01dt-bindings: phy: Fix description of Tegra210 PHY nodesJon Hunter1-1/+1
The DT bindings document for the Tegra XUSB pad controller states that 'utmi' is one of the valid choices for the Tegra210 PHY node names and has child lanes named, 'utmi-0', 'utmi-1', 'utmi-2' and 'utmi-3'. However, neither the XUSB pad controller PHY driver or the actual Tegra210 bindings for the XUSB pad controller use these names. Instead both the driver and binding use the node name 'usb2' and for the child lanes use the names 'usb2-0', 'usb2-1', 'usb2-2' and 'usb2-3'. Given that the driver and binding are consistent with the naming, update the DT bindings documentation to match. 2016-04-30phy: exynos-mipi-video: Add support for Exynos 5420 and 5433 SoCsMarek Szyprowski1-2/+16
This patch adds support for MIPI DPHYs found in Exynos5420-compatible (5420, 5422 and 5800) and Exynos5433 SoCs. Those SoCs differs from earlier by different offset of MIPI DPHY registers in PMU controllers (Exynos 5420-compatible case) or by moving MIPI DPHY reset registers to separate system register controllers (Exynos 5433 case). In both case also additional 5th PHY (MIPI CSIS 2) has been added. 2016-04-30phy: bcm-ns-usb2: new driver for USB 2.0 PHY on NorthstarRafał Miłecki1-0/+21
Northstar is a family of SoCs used in home routers. They have USB 2.0 and 3.0 controllers with PHYs that need to be properly initialized. This driver provides PHY init support in a generic way and can be bound with an EHCI controller driver. There are (just a few) registers being defined in bcma header. It's because DMU/CRU registers will be also needed in other drivers. We will need them e.g. in PCIe controller/PHY driver and at some point probably in clock driver for BCM53573 chipset. By using include/linux/bcma/ we avoid code duplication. Signed-off-by: Rafał Miłecki <zajec5@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Kishon Vijay Abraham I <kishon@ti.com>

2016-04-29phy: rcar-gen3-usb2: add fallback bindingSimon Horman1-2/+8
In the case of Renesas R-Car hardware we know that there are generations of SoCs, e.g. Gen 2 and Gen 3. But beyond that its not clear what the relationship between IP blocks might be. For example, I believe that r8a7790 is older than r8a7791 but that doesn't imply that the latter is a descendant of the former or vice versa. We can, however, by examining the documentation and behaviour of the hardware at run-time observe that the current driver implementation appears to be compatible with the IP blocks on SoCs within a given generation. For the above reasons and convenience when enabling new SoCs a per-generation fallback compatibility string scheme being adopted for drivers for Renesas SoCs.
