2018-08-23treewide: correct "differenciate" and "instanciate" typosFinn Thain1-1/+1
Also add these typos to spelling.txt so checkpatch.pl will look for them. 2018-05-22dt-bindings: introduce Command DB for QCOM SoCsMahesh Sivasubramanian1-0/+37
Command DB provides information on shared resources like clocks, regulators etc., probed at boot by the remote subsytem and made available in shared memory. 2017-10-22dt-binding: soc: qcom: Add binding for rmtfs memoryBjorn Andersson1-0/+51
This adds the binding for describing shared memory used to exchange file system blocks between the RMTFS client and service. A client for this is generally found in the modem firmware and is used for accessing persistent storage for things such as radio calibration. 2017-06-28drivers: dma-coherent: Introduce default DMA poolVladimir Murzin1-0/+3
This patch introduces default coherent DMA pool similar to default CMA area concept. To keep other users safe code kept under CONFIG_ARM. 2016-11-15ramoops: Split ftrace buffer space into per-CPU zonesJoel Fernandes1-0/+3
If the RAMOOPS_FLAG_FTRACE_PER_CPU flag is passed to ramoops pdata, split the ftrace space into multiple zones depending on the number of CPUs. This speeds up the performance of function tracing by about 280% in my tests as we avoid the locking. The trade off being lesser space available per CPU. Let the ramoops user decide which option they want based on pdata flag. 2016-08-05ramoops: use DT reserved-memory bindingsKees Cook1-0/+48
Instead of a ramoops-specific node, use a child node of /reserved-memory. This requires that of_platform_device_create() be explicitly called for the node, though, since "/reserved-memory" does not have its own "compatible" property. 2014-03-04of: document bindings for reserved-memory nodesGrant Likely1-0/+133
Reserved memory nodes allow for the reservation of static (fixed address) regions, or dynamically allocated regions for a specific purpose. [joshc: Based on binding document proposed (in non-patch form) here: http://lkml.kernel.org/g/20131030134702.19B57C402A0@trevor.secretlab.ca adapted to support #memory-region-cells] Signed-off-by: Josh Cartwright <joshc@codeaurora.org> [mszyprow: removed #memory-region-cells property] Signed-off-by: Marek Szyprowski <m.szyprowski@samsung.com> [grant.likely: removed residual #memory-region-cells example] Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@linaro.org>
