2017-11-13dt-bindings: usb: add #phy-cells to usb-nop-xceivRob Herring1-0/+2
Consumers of usb-nop-xceiv use the phy binding, but #phy-cells is missing from the binding. This is probably because this binding predates the common phy binding. So add #phy-cells as a required property. This should not break any users as missing should be treated as 0 cells. Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>
2015-01-12usb: phy: nop: device tree documentation for vbusRobert Jarzmik1-0/+8
Enhance the phy documentation by adding 2 new optional bindings : - the vbus gpio, which detects usb insertion - the vbus regulator, which provides current drawn from the usb cable Signed-off-by: Robert Jarzmik <robert.jarzmik@free.fr> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>
2015-01-12Documentation: usb: phy: nop: Fix the description of 'vcc-supply'Fabio Estevam1-1/+1
Since bd27fa44e13830d2b ("usb: phy: generic: Don't use regulator framework for RESET line") we no longer model the reset line as a regulator supply, so adapt the documentation accordingly. 2013-10-04usb: phy: generic: Don't use regulator framework for RESET lineRoger Quadros1-4/+3
Modelling the RESET line as a regulator supply wasn't a good idea as it kind of abuses the regulator framework and also makes adaptation code more complex. Instead, manage the RESET gpio line directly in the driver. Update the device tree binding information. This also makes us easy to migrate to a dedicated GPIO RESET controller whenever it becomes available. Signed-off-by: Roger Quadros <rogerq@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>

The PHY clock, clock rate, VCC regulator and RESET regulator can now be provided via device tree. Signed-off-by: Roger Quadros <rogerq@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>
