2012-12-13Merge tag 'dt' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-socLinus Torvalds1-0/+15
Pull ARM SoC device tree conversions and enablement from Olof Johansson: "Continued device tree conversion and enablement across a number of platforms; Kirkwood, tegra, i.MX, Exynos, zynq and a couple of other smaller series as well. ux500 has seen continued conversion for platforms. Several platforms have seen pinctrl-via-devicetree conversions for simpler multiplatform. Tegra is adding data for new devices/drivers, and Exynos has a bunch of new bindings and devices added as well. So, pretty much the same progression in the right direction as the last few releases." Fix up conflicts as per Olof. * tag 'dt' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (185 commits) ARM: ux500: Rename dbx500 cpufreq code to be more generic ARM: dts: add missing ux500 device trees ARM: ux500: Stop registering the PCM driver from platform code ARM: ux500: Move board specific GPIO info out to subordinate DTS files ARM: ux500: Disable the MMCI gpio-regulator by default ARM: Kirkwood: remove kirkwood_ehci_init() from new boards ARM: Kirkwood: Add support LED of OpenBlocks A6 ARM: Kirkwood: Convert to EHCI via DT for OpenBlocks A6 ARM: kirkwood: Add NAND partiton map for OpenBlocks A6 ARM: kirkwood: Add support second I2C bus and RTC on OpenBlocks A6 ARM: kirkwood: Add support DT of second I2C bus ARM: kirkwood: Convert mplcec4 board to pinctrl ARM: Kirkwood: Convert km_kirkwood to pinctrl ARM: Kirkwood: support 98DX412x kirkwoods with pinctrl ARM: Kirkwood: Convert IX2-200 to pinctrl. Pull ARM SoC cleanups on various subarchitectures from Olof Johansson: "Cleanup patches for various ARM platforms and some of their associated drivers. There's also a branch in here that enables Freescale i.MX to be part of the multiplatform support -- the first "big" SoC that is moved over (more multiplatform work comes in a separate branch later during the merge window)." Conflicts fixed as per Olof, including a silent semantic one in arch/arm/mach-omap2/board-generic.c (omap_prcm_restart() was renamed to omap3xxx_restart(), and a new user of the old name was added). * tag 'cleanup' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (189 commits) ARM: omap: fix typo on timer cleanup ARM: EXYNOS: Remove unused regs-mem.h file ARM: EXYNOS: Remove unused non-dt support for dwmci controller ARM: Kirkwood: Use hw_pci.ops instead of hw_pci.scan ARM: OMAP3: cm-t3517: use GPTIMER for system clock ARM: OMAP2+: timer: remove CONFIG_OMAP_32K_TIMER ARM: SAMSUNG: use devm_ functions for ADC driver ARM: EXYNOS: no duplicate mask/unmask in eint0_15 ARM: S3C24XX: SPI clock channel setup is fixed for S3C2443 ARM: EXYNOS: Remove i2c0 resource information and setting of device names ARM: Kirkwood: checkpatch cleanups ARM: Kirkwood: Fix sparse warnings. 2012-09-11Merge tag 'musb-for-v3.7' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/balbi/usb into usb-nextGreg Kroah-Hartman2-0/+47
usb: musb: patches for v3.7 merge window Here we have a bunch of miscellaneous cleanups and fixes to the musb driver. It fixes a bunch of mistakes errors which nobody has triggered before, so I'm not Ccing stable tree. We are finally improving OMAP's VBUS/ID Mailbox usage so that we can introduce our PHY drivers properly. Also, we're adding support for multiple instances of the MUSB IP in the same SoC, as seen on some platforms from TI which have 2 MUSB instances. Other than that, we have some small fixes like not kicking DMA for a zero byte transfer, or properly handling NAK timeout on MUSB's host side, and the enabling of DMA Mode1 for any transfers which are aligned to wMaxPacketSize. All patches have been pending on mailing list for a long time and I don't expect any big surprises with this pull request.
2012-09-11Merge tag 'xceiv-for-v3.7' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/balbi/usb into usb-nextGreg Kroah-Hartman2-0/+57
usb: xceiv: patches for v3.7 merge window nop xceiv got its own header to avoid polluting otg.h. It has also learned to work as USB2 and USB3 phys so we can use it on USB3 controllers. Together with those two changes to nop xceiv, we're adding basic PHY support to dwc3 driver, this is to allow platforms which actually have a SW-controllable PHY talk to them through dwc3 driver. We're adding a new phy driver for the OMAP architecture. This driver is for the PHY found in OMAP4 SoCs, and a new phy driver for the marvell architecture. An extra phy driver - for Tegra SoCs - is now moving from arch/arm/mach-tegra* to drivers/usb/phy. Also here, there's the creation of <linux/usb/phy.h> which should be used from now on for PHY drivers, even those which don't support OTG.

2012-05-01USB: Add driver for NXP ISP1301 USB transceiverRoland Stigge1-0/+25
This new driver registers the NXP ISP1301 chip via the I2C subsystem. The chip is the USB transceiver shared by ohci-nxp, lpc32xx_udc (gadget) and isp1301_omap. ISP1301 is a very low-level driver that primarily separates out the I2C client registration of the ISP1301 chip (including instantiation via DT), used by other drivers, and declares the chip's registers. It's only a helper driver for some OHCI and USB device drivers. The driver can be considered as a register set extension of ohci-nxp, lpc32xx-udc and isp1301_omap, which in turn know best what to do with the low level functionality (individual ISP1301 registers and timing, see the different initialization strategies in those drivers). Those drivers previously internally duplicated ISP1301 register definitions which is solved by this new isp1301 driver. The ISP1301 registers exposed via isp1301.h can be accessed by other drivers using it with standard i2c_smbus_*() accesses. Following patches let the respective USB host and gadget drivers use this driver, instead of duplicating ISP1301 handling. 2012-04-25ARM: tegra: add USB ULPI PHY reset GPIO to device treeStephen Warren1-0/+3
ULPI PHYs have a reset signal, and different boards use a different GPIO for this task. Add a property to device tree to represent this. I'm not sure if adding this property to the EHCI controller node is entirely correct; perhaps eventually we should have explicit separate nodes for the various PHYs. However, we don't have that right now, so this binding seems like a reasonable choice.
