2015-08-18net: dsa: Allow multi hop routes to be expressedAndrew Lunn1-6/+27
With more than two switches in a hierarchy, it becomes necessary to describe multi-hop routes between switches. The current binding does not allow this, although the older platform_data did. Extend the link property to be a list rather than a single phandle to a remote switch. It is then possible to express that a port should be used to reach more than one switch and the switch maybe more than one hop away. 2015-08-10dsa: Support multiple MDIO bussesAndrew Lunn1-0/+5
When using a cluster of switches, some topologies will have an MDIO bus per switch, not one for the whole cluster. Allow this to be represented in the device tree, by adding an optional mii-bus property at the switch level. The old platform_device method of instantiation supports this already, so only the device tree binding needs extending with an additional optional phandle. The "cpus" node cannot be inside the "soc" node, while this works for the CoreSight blocks, the early boot code will look for "cpus" directly under the root node, so this is a hard convention. So move the CPU nodes. Augment the "reg" property to match what is actually in the hardware: 0x300 and 0x301 respectively. SATA_PLL_SOFT_RESET bit of CTRL_CORE_SMA_SW_0 must be toggled between a SATA DPLL unlock and re-lock to prevent SATA lockup. Introduce a new DT parameter 'syscon-pllreset' to provide the syscon regmap access to this register which sits in the control module. If the register is not provided we fallback to the old behaviour i.e. SATA DPLL refclk will not be disabled and we prevent SoC low power states. 2015-07-29net: netcp: Fixes efuse mac addr swap on k2e and k2lWingMan Kwok1-1/+5
On some of the K2E and K2L platforms, the two DWORDs in efuse occupied by the pre-programmed mac address for slave port 1 are swapped. To workaround this issue, this patch adds a new define NETCP_EFUSE_ADDR_SWAP (2) which signifies the occurrence of such swapping so that the driver can take proper action. The flag can be enabled in the corresponding netcp interface dts binding as efuse-mac = <2> under the corresponding netcp interface node. Currently the PHY management type is selected by the MAC driver arbitrary. The decision is based on the presence of the "fixed-link" node and on a will of the driver's authors. This caused a regression recently, when mvneta driver suddenly started to use the in-band status for auto-negotiation on fixed links. It appears the auto-negotiation may not work when expected by the MAC driver. Sebastien Rannou explains: << Yes, I confirm that my HW does not generate an in-band status. Hisilicon SMMUv3 devices treat CMD_PREFETCH_CONFIG as a illegal command, execute it will trigger GERROR interrupt. Although the gerror code manage to turn the prefetch into a SYNC, and the system can continue to run normally, but it's ugly to print error information.
