In order to make it easier to parse and produce the right output, add some extra blank lines. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+samsung@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Jonathan Corbet <corbet@lwn.net>
2019-04-11docs: ntb.txt: use Sphinx notation for the two ascii figuresMauro Carvalho Chehab1-4/+6
In order to make it to build with Sphinx, we need to fix the notation for two ascii artwork. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+samsung@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Jonathan Corbet <corbet@lwn.net>

Pull documentation format standardization from Jonathan Corbet: "This series converts a number of top-level documents to the RST format without incorporating them into the Sphinx tree. The hope is to bring some uniformity to kernel documentation and, perhaps more importantly, have our existing docs serve as an example of the desired formatting for those that will be added later. Mauro has gone through and fixed up a lot of top-level documentation files to make them conform to the RST format, but without moving or renaming them in any way. This will help when we incorporate the ones we want to keep into the Sphinx doctree, but the real purpose is to bring a bit of uniformity to our documentation and let the top-level docs serve as examples for those writing new ones" * tag 'standardize-docs' of git://git.lwn.net/linux: (84 commits) docs: kprobes.txt: Fix whitespacing tee.txt: standardize document format cgroup-v2.txt: standardize document format dell_rbu.txt: standardize document format zorro.txt: standardize document format xz.txt: standardize document format xillybus.txt: standardize document format vfio.txt: standardize document format vfio-mediated-device.txt: standardize document format unaligned-memory-access.txt: standardize document format this_cpu_ops.txt: standardize document format svga.txt: standardize document format static-keys.txt: standardize document format smsc_ece1099.txt: standardize document format SM501.txt: standardize document format siphash.txt: standardize document format sgi-ioc4.txt: standardize document format SAK.txt: standardize document format rpmsg.txt: standardize document format robust-futexes.txt: standardize document format ...
2017-07-14ntb.txt: standardize document formatMauro Carvalho Chehab1-18/+37
Each text file under Documentation follows a different format. Some doesn't even have titles! Change its representation to follow the adopted standard, using ReST markups for it to be parseable by Sphinx. This file is using some other markup notation (likely, markdown). Convert it to the adopted standard: - Adjust the header level markup; - Adjust identation for debugfs files and module parameters. 2017-07-06NTB: Add new Memory Windows API documentationSerge Semin1-8/+91
Since the new API slightly changes the way a typical NTB client driver works, the documentation file needs to be appropriately updated. Signed-off-by: Serge Semin <fancer.lancer@gmail.com> Acked-by: Allen Hubbe <Allen.Hubbe@dell.com> Signed-off-by: Jon Mason <jdmason@kudzu.us>
2015-07-04NTB: Rename Intel code names to platform namesDave Jiang1-10/+10
Instead of using the platform code names, use the correct platform names to identify the respective Intel NTB hardware. Signed-off-by: Dave Jiang <dave.jiang@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Jon Mason <jdmason@kudzu.us>
2015-07-04NTB: Add tool test clientAllen Hubbe1-0/+32
This is a simple debugging driver that enables the doorbell and scratch pad registers to be read and written from the debugfs. This tool enables more complicated debugging to be scripted from user space. This driver may be used to test that your ntb hardware and drivers are functioning at a basic level. 2015-07-04NTB: Add ping pong test clientAllen Hubbe1-0/+27
This is a simple ping pong driver that exercises the scratch pads and doorbells of the ntb hardware. This driver may be used to test that your ntb hardware and drivers are functioning at a basic level. Signed-off-by: Allen Hubbe <Allen.Hubbe@emc.com> Signed-off-by: Jon Mason <jdmason@kudzu.us>
2015-07-04NTB: Add parameters for Intel SNB B2B addressesAllen Hubbe1-0/+10
Add module parameters for the addresses to be used in B2B topology. Signed-off-by: Allen Hubbe <Allen.Hubbe@emc.com> Signed-off-by: Jon Mason <jdmason@kudzu.us>
2015-07-04NTB: Split ntb_hw_intel and ntb_transport driversAllen Hubbe1-0/+26
Change ntb_hw_intel to use the new NTB hardware abstraction layer. Split ntb_transport into its own driver. Change it to use the new NTB hardware abstraction layer. Signed-off-by: Allen Hubbe <Allen.Hubbe@emc.com> Signed-off-by: Jon Mason <jdmason@kudzu.us>
2015-07-04NTB: Add NTB hardware abstraction layerAllen Hubbe1-0/+32
Abstract the NTB device behind a programming interface, so that it can support different hardware and client drivers. Signed-off-by: Allen Hubbe <Allen.Hubbe@emc.com> Signed-off-by: Jon Mason <jdmason@kudzu.us>
