Pull USB fixes from Greg KH:
"Here are a number of USB fixes and new device ids for 4.18-rc7.
The largest number are a bunch of gadget driver fixes that got delayed
in being submitted earlier due to vacation schedules, but nothing
really huge is present in them. There are some new device ids and some
PHY driver fixes that were connected to some USB ones. Full details
are in the shortlog.
All have been in linux-next for a while with no reported issues"

Commit 34962fb8070c ("docs: Fix more broken references") replaced the
broken reference to rockchip,dwc3-usb-phy.txt binding for the Qualcomm
DWC3 binding (qcom-dwc3-usb-phy.txt). That's wrong, so replace that
reference for the correct ones.

user help for using the kernel config tools.
- Add mention of 'nconfig' embedded help text.
- Make the section on new config symbols readable.
- Correct how to find menuconfig search help.

Removed Kbuild documentation for INSTALL_FW_PATH.
The kbuild symbol INSTALL_FW_PATH was removed from Kbuild tools in
September 2017 (for 4.14) but the symbol was not deleted from
the kbuild documentation, so do that now.

The supported alias for building sparc 32-bit is "sparc32",
not "sparc", so update the alias documentation for that.
Just using "sparc" produces a 64-bit config file.

Add an optional parameter "start_sector" to allow the start of the
device to be offset by the specified number of 512-byte sectors. The
sectors below this offset are not used by the writecache device and are
left to be used for disk labels and/or userspace metadata (e.g. lvm).

xhci host controller fixes for reported issues (as normal), but there
are also some new device ids, and some fixes for the typec code.
There is an acpi core patch in here that was acked by the acpi
maintainer as it is needed for the typec fixes in order to properly
solve a problem in that driver.

The poll() changes were not well thought out, and completely
unexplained. They also caused a huge performance regression, because
"->poll()" was no longer a trivial file operation that just called down
to the underlying file operations, but instead did at least two indirect
calls.
Indirect calls are sadly slow now with the Spectre mitigation, but the
performance problem could at least be largely mitigated by changing the
"->get_poll_head()" operation to just have a per-file-descriptor pointer
to the poll head instead. That gets rid of one of the new indirections.
But that doesn't fix the new complexity that is completely unwarranted
for the regular case. The (undocumented) reason for the poll() changes
was some alleged AIO poll race fixing, but we don't make the common case
slower and more complex for some uncommon special case, so this all
really needs way more explanations and most likely a fundamental
redesign.

In an early version of the I2C patch that was posted to the list the
default I2C frequency (if none was specified) was 400 kHz. There was
debate on the list and we decided that it would be more consistent
with the rest of i2c if we defaulted to 100 kHz. ...but we never
updated the bindings. Let's fix this.
NOTE: since the i2c driver itself hasn't actually landed yet and the
SoC here is very new it seems terribly unlikely that anyone was
relying on the old 400 kHz number, so I'll assume this is an OK
"incompatible" device tree change.

Recent patch updated e1000 docs to rst format. Docs build (`make
htmldocs`) is currently failing due to this file with error:
(SEVERE/4) Unexpected section title.
This is because a section of the file is indented 2 spaces. Build error
can be cleared by aligning the text with column 0. While we are changing
these lines we can make sure line length does not exceed 72, that
newlines following headings are uniform, and that full stops are
followed by two spaces.
Align text with column 0, limit line length to 72, ensure two spaces
follow all full stops, ensure uniform use of newlines after heading.

Recent patch updated e100 docs to rst format. Docs build (`make
htmldocs`) is currently failing due to this file with error:
(SEVERE/4) Unexpected section title.

Pull power management updates from Rafael Wysocki:

Pull RISC-V updates from Palmer Dabbelt:
"This contains some small RISC-V updates I'd like to target for 4.18.
They are all fairly small this time. Here's a short summary, there's
more info in the commits/merges:
- a fix to __clear_user to respect the passed arguments.
- enough support for the perf subsystem to work with RISC-V's ISA
defined performance counters.
- support for sparse and cleanups suggested by it.
- support for R_RISCV_32 (a relocation, not the 32-bit ISA).
- some MAINTAINERS cleanups.
- the addition of CONFIG_HVC_RISCV_SBI to our defconfig, as it's
