ARM: tegra: switch to dmaengine
The Tegra code-base has contained both a legacy DMA and a dmaengine
driver since v3.6-rcX. This series flips Tegra's defconfig to enable
dmaengine rather than the legacy driver, and removes the legacy driver
and all client code.

ARM: add basic BCM2835 SoC and Raspberry Pi board support
The BCM2835 is an ARM SoC from Broadcom. This patch adds very basic
support for this SoC; enough to boot the system into an initrd with
UART console, interrupt controller, timers, and a stub clock driver.
Also provided is a similarly basic device tree for the Raspberry Pi
Model B board.
This series was written by Simon Arlott, Chris Boot, and Dom Cobley
downstream, with reference to a Broadcom tree, and modified for upstream
and submitted by Stephen Warren.

Add myself as the maintainer for the BCM2835 ARM support, and related
drivers. This is mainly so that the MAINTAINERS file contains some

Recently firmware loader code has been cleaned up much and
cache/uncache firmware mechanism is introduced, so later
drivers should apply the mechanism to solve the problem
of firmware lost during suspend/resume cycle.
For the sake of helping the related problems, I'd like to
volunteer to maintain the code and help on drivers' related
problem, so update the item.

The PMU reservation mechanism was originally intended to allow OProfile
and perf-events to co-ordinate over access to the CPU PMU. Since then,
OProfile for ARM has moved to using perf as its backend, so the
reservation code is no longer used.
This patch removes the reservation code for the CPU PMU on ARM.

"A couple weeks of bug fixing in there. The largest chunk is all the
broken crap Amerigo Wang found in the netpoll layer."
1) netpoll and it's users has several serious bugs:
a) uses GFP_KERNEL with locks held
b) interfaces requiring interrupts disabled are called with them
enabled
c) and vice versa
d) VLAN tag demuxing, as per all other RX packet input paths, is not
applied
All from Amerigo Wang.
2) Hopefully cure the ipv4 mapped ipv6 address TCP early demux bugs for
good, from Neal Cardwell.
3) Unlike AF_UNIX, AF_PACKET sockets don't set a default credentials
when the user doesn't specify one explicitly during sendmsg().
Instead we attach an empty (zero) SCM credential block which is
definitely not what we want. Fix from Eric Dumazet.
4) IPv6 illegally invokes netdevice notifiers with RCU lock held, fix
from Ben Hutchings.
5) inet_csk_route_child_sock() checks wrong inet options pointer, fix
from Christoph Paasch.
6) When AF_PACKET is used for transmit, packet loopback doesn't behave
properly when a socket fanout is enabled, from Eric Leblond.
7) On bluetooth l2cap channel create failure, we leak the socket, from
Jaganath Kanakkassery.
8) Fix all the netprio file handling bugs found by Al Viro, from John

Pull sound fixes from Takashi Iwai:
"This update became slightly bigger than usual for rc3, but most of the
commits are small and trivial. A large chunk is found for HD-audio
ca0132 codec, which is mostly a clean up of the specific code, to make
SPDIF working properly, and also in the new ASoC Arizona driver.
One important fix is for usb-audio Oops fix since 3.5. We still see
some EHCI related bandwidth problem, but usb-audio should be more
stabilized now.
Other than that, a Kconfig fix is spread over files, and various
HD-audio and ASoC fixes as usual, in addition to Julia's error path
fixes."

I prefer to use the Linaro mail address for the MAINTAINERS
entry due to heavy mail traffic. Take this opportunity to

This patch adds the driver for interacting with the 842
compression accelerator on IBM Power7+ systems.
The device is a child of the Platform Facilities Option (PFO)
and shows up as a child of the IBM VIO bus.
The compression/decompression API takes the same arguments
as existing compression methods like lzo and deflate. The 842
hardware operates on 4K hardware pages and the driver breaks up
input on 4K boundaries to submit it to the hardware accelerator.

Pull VFIO core from Alex Williamson:
"This series includes the VFIO userspace driver interface for the 3.6
kernel merge window. This driver is intended to provide a secure
interface for device access using IOMMU protection for applications
like assignment of physical devices to virtual machines.
Qemu will be the first user of this interface, enabling assignment of
PCI devices to Qemu guests. This interface is intended to eventually
replace the x86-specific assignment mechanism currently available in
KVM.
This interface has the advantage of being more secure, by working with
IOMMU groups to ensure device isolation and providing it's own
filtered resource access mechanism, and also more flexible, in not
being x86 or KVM specific (extensions to enable POWER are already
working).
This driver is originally the work of Tom Lyon, but has since been
handed over to me and gone through a complete overhaul thanks to the
input from David Gibson, Ben Herrenschmidt, Chris Wright, Joerg
Roedel, and others. This driver has been available in linux-next for
the last month."

Pull Ceph changes from Sage Weil:
"Lots of stuff this time around:
- lots of cleanup and refactoring in the libceph messenger code, and
many hard to hit races and bugs closed as a result.
- lots of cleanup and refactoring in the rbd code from Alex Elder,
mostly in preparation for the layering functionality that will be
coming in 3.7.
- some misc rbd cleanups from Josh Durgin that are finally going
upstream
- support for CRUSH tunables (used by newer clusters to improve the
data placement)
- some cleanup in our use of d_parent that Al brought up a while back
- a random collection of fixes across the tree
There is another patch coming that fixes up our ->atomic_open()
behavior, but I'm going to hammer on it a bit more before sending it."

VFIO is a secure user level driver for use with both virtual machines
and user level drivers. VFIO makes use of IOMMU groups to ensure the
isolation of devices in use, allowing unprivileged user access. It's
intended that VFIO will replace KVM device assignment and UIO drivers
(in cases where the target platform includes a sufficiently capable
IOMMU).
New in this version of VFIO is support for IOMMU groups managed
through the IOMMU core as well as a rework of the API, removing the
group merge interface. We now go back to a model more similar to
original VFIO with UIOMMU support where the file descriptor obtained
from /dev/vfio/vfio allows access to the IOMMU, but only after a
group is added, avoiding the previous privilege issues with this type
of model. IOMMU support is also now fully modular as IOMMUs have
vastly different interface requirements on different platforms. VFIO
users are able to query and initialize the IOMMU model of their
choice.
