2007-07-11PM: do not use saved_state from struct dev_pm_info on ARMRafael J. Wysocki1-3/+8
The saved_state member of 'struct dev_pm_info' that's going to be removed is used in arch/arm/common/locomo.c, arch/arm/common/sa1111.c and arch/arm/mach-sa1100/neponset.c. Change the code in there to use local variables for saving the state of devices during suspend. Signed-off-by: Rafael J. 2006-10-06Initial blind fixup for arm for irq changesLinus Torvalds1-15/+10
Untested, but this should fix up the bulk of the totally mechanical issues, and should make the actual detail fixing easier. Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2006-09-27[ARM] 3863/1: Add Locomo SPI DeviceDirk Opfer1-11/+18
The Locomo chip has a SPI interface which is used for SD/MMC cards (only collie). This patch adds the definition for the SPI device inside the Locomo chip. Signed-off-by: Dirk Opfer <Dirk@Opfer-Online.de> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-09-27[ARM] 3847/2: Convert LOMOMO to use struct device for GPIOsRichard Purdie1-10/+22
Convert LOMOMO to use struct device * for GPIOs instead of struct locomo_dev. This enables access to the GPIOs from code which is not a locomo device itself (such as audio). Access for gpio 31 is removed for error handling (no such hardware exists). Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <rpurdie@rpsys.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-08-01[ARM] 3739/1: genirq updates: irq_chip, add and use irq_chip.nameDavid Brownell1-5/+10
Patch from David Brownell ARM genirq cleanups/updates: - Start switching platforms to newer APIs * use "irq_chip" name, not "irqchip" * providing irq_chip.name - Show irq_chip.name in /proc/interrupts, like on x86. This update a bit more than half of the ARM code. The irq_chip.name values were chosen to match docs (if I have them) or be otherwise obvious ("FPGA", "CPLD", or matching the code). Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2006-06-26[PATCH] backlight: LOCOMO Backlight Driver updatesRichard Purdie1-20/+25
Add backlight intensity control to the LOCOMO lcd/backlight driver using the backlight class and add basic power management support. This is a reimplementation and improvement of patches by John Lenz and Pavel Machek Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <rpurdie@rpsys.net> Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@pol.net> Cc: Pavel Machek <pavel@ucw.cz> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2006-03-21[ARM] Convert kmalloc+memset to kzallocRussell King1-5/+2
Convert all uses of kmalloc followed by memset to use kzalloc instead. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-03-21[ARM] Rename chipdata to 'base' and make it an iomem pointerRussell King1-21/+21
In all current use cases, "chipdata" is used to store an iomem address. Mark it with __iomem, and rename it to 'base'. Leave the accessor macros alone. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-03-20[PATCH] handle errors returned by platform_get_irq*()David Vrabel1-0/+2
platform_get_irq*() now returns on -ENXIO when the resource cannot be found. Ensure all users of platform_get_irq*() handle this error appropriately. Signed-off-by: David Vrabel <dvrabel@arcom.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

2005-11-12[ARM] Fix collie for -rc1Pavel Machek1-3/+1
This fixes compilation for collie after -rc1 platform_device changes. And yes, it even boots. Signed-off-by: Pavel Machek <pavel@suse.cz> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-11-09[DRIVER MODEL] Convert platform drivers to use struct platform_driverRussell King1-19/+19
This allows us to eliminate the casts in the drivers, and eventually remove the use of the device_driver function pointer methods for platform device drivers. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2005-10-29Create platform_device.h to contain all the platform device details.Russell King1-1/+1
Convert everyone who uses platform_bus_type to include linux/platform_device.h. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2005-10-28[PATCH] DRIVER MODEL: Get rid of the obsolete tri-level suspend/resume callbacksRussell King1-8/+2
In PM v1, all devices were called at SUSPEND_DISABLE level. Then all devices were called at SUSPEND_SAVE_STATE level, and finally SUSPEND_POWER_DOWN level. However, with PM v2, to maintain compatibility for platform devices, I arranged for the PM v2 suspend/resume callbacks to call the old PM v1 suspend/resume callbacks three times with each level in order so that existing drivers continued to work. Since this is obsolete infrastructure which is no longer necessary, we can remove it. Here's an (untested) patch to do exactly that. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2005-09-29[ARM] Don't include mach-types.h unnecessarilyRussell King1-1/+0
It's pointless to include mach-types.h if you're not going to use anything from it. These references were removed as a result of: grep -lr 'asm/mach-types\.h' . | xargs grep -L 'machine_is_\|MACH_TYPE_\|MACHINE_START\|machine_type' Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2005-09-08[ARM] Add suspend/resume support to locomo.cJohn Lenz1-0/+101
This adds low-level suspend/resume support to locomo.c. Signed-off-by: Pavel Machek <pavel@suse.cz> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-09-04[ARM] Wrap calls to descriptor handlersRussell King1-5/+5
This is part of Thomas Gleixner's generic IRQ patch, which converts ARM to use the generic IRQ subsystem. Here, we wrap calls to desc->handler() in an inline function, desc_handle_irq(). This reduces the size of Thomas' patch since the changes become more localised. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-09-04[ARM] Fix compilation in locomo.cPavel Machek1-7/+7
Do not access children in struct device directly, use device_for_each_child helper instead. It fixes compilation. Signed-off-by: Pavel Machek <pavel@suse.cz> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds1-0/+1058
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
