2012-12-24ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren1-5/+1
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. 2011-10-31backlight: fix broken regulator API usage in l4f00242t03Mark Brown1-4/+2
The regulator support in the l4f00242t03 is very non-idiomatic. Rather than requesting the regulators based on the device name and the supply names used by the device the driver requires boards to pass system specific supply names around through platform data. The driver also conditionally requests the regulators based on this platform data, adding unneeded conditional code to the driver. Fix this by removing the platform data and converting to the standard idiom, also updating all in tree users of the driver. As no datasheet appears to be available for the LCD I'm guessing the names for the supplies based on the existing users and I've no ability to do anything more than compile test. The use of regulator_set_voltage() in the driver is also problematic, since fixed voltages are required the expectation would be that the voltages would be fixed in the constraints set by the machines rather than manually configured by the driver, but is less problematic. Fix the 2.8V (VMMC1) and 1.8V (VGEN) voltage generation on mx27_3ds. Also configure the IOMUX for the PMIC interrupt pin and for the CSPI chip select that is connected to the MC13783 PMIC. In order to get the voltage for the LCD (2.8V and 1.8V) it is also necessary to turn on GPO1 and GPO3 supplies because they are connected to switches that enable these two voltages. 2011-03-23mfd: mfd_cell is now implicitly available to mc13xxx driversAndres Salomon1-4/+7
The cell's platform_data is now accessed with a helper function; change clients to use that, and remove the now-unused data_size. Note that mfd-core no longer makes a copy of platform_data, but the mc13xxx-core driver creates the pdata structures on the stack. In order to get around that, the various ARM mach types that set the pdata have been changed to hold the variable in static (global) memory. The mxc-ehci driver calls SoC specific phy initialization right after calling board specific initialization. To offer greater flexibility for boards to setup the phy and to get rid of some unnecessary flags in platform data this patch lets the boards call the SoC specific phy initialization and remove it from the driver.
