The information contained in the platform data struct is redundant. Page size == 1 is the safe default assumed if no pagesize property is given. The EEPROM size can be indicated to the driver using the correct model name. Drop the at24_platform_data entirely. 2016-09-20ARM: imx legacy: vpr200: move peripheral initialization to .init_lateVladimir Zapolskiy1-12/+17
The change moves some of peripheral registrations and initializations (all peripherals dependent on GPIOs) from .init_machine to .init_late level, this allows to safely shift the shared GPIO controller driver initialization level after init level of i.MX IOMUXC driver. 2012-12-24ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren1-5/+1
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init() function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html Includes mach-omap2 fixes from Igor Grinberg. It moves a bunch of header files included in hardware.h and itself from mach-imx/include/mach to mach-imx, and updates users to include hardware.h rather than mach/hardware.h. The files in mach-imx/devices will need to include "../hardware.h". The patch makes necessary changes on gpio-mxc as below to turn it into an upstanding gpio driver. * Add a list to save all mx2 ports references, so that mx2_gpio_irq_handler can walk through all interrupt status registers * Use readl/writel to replace mach-specific accessors __raw_readl/__raw_writel * Change mxc_gpio_init into mxc_gpio_probe function * Move "struct mxc_gpio_port" into gpio-mxc.c, as it needs not to be public at all, and also make some other cleanup on plat-mxc/include/mach/gpio.h at the same time And the patch then migrates mach-imx and mach-mx5 to the updated driver by adding corresponding platform devices.
