2014-02-22ARM: orion: Move cache-feroceon-l2.h out of plat-orionAndrew Lunn1-1/+1
With the gradual move to DT, kirkwood has become a lot less dependent on plat-orion. cache-feroceon-l2.h is the last dependency. Move it out so we can drop plat-orion when building DT only kirkwood boards. 2014-02-22watchdog: orion: Make RSTOUT register a separate resourceEzequiel Garcia1-0/+1
In order to support other SoC, it's required to distinguish the 'control' timer register, from the 'rstout' register that enables system reset on watchdog expiration. To prevent a compatibility break, this commit adds a fallback to a hardcoded RSTOUT address. 2014-02-18Merge tag 'dropmachtimexh-v2' of git://git.pengutronix.de/git/ukl/linux into next/cleanupOlof Johansson1-9/+0
This cleanup series gets rid of <mach/timex.h> for platforms not using ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM. (For multi-platform code it's already unused since 387798b (ARM: initial multiplatform support).) To make this work some code out of arch/arm needed to be adapted. The respective changes got acks by their maintainers to be taken via armsoc (with Andrew Morton substituting for Alessandro Zummo as rtc maintainer). Compared to the previous pull request there was another patch added that fixes a (non-critical) regression on ixp4xx. Olof Johansson asked to not squash this fix into the original commit to save him from the need to reverify the series. * tag 'dropmachtimexh-v2' of git://git.pengutronix.de/git/ukl/linux: ARM: ixp4xx: fix timer latch calculation ARM: drop <mach/timex.h> for !ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM, too ARM: rpc: stop using <mach/timex.h> ARM: ixp4xx: stop using <mach/timex.h> input: ixp4xx-beeper: don't use symbols from <mach/timex.h> ARM: at91: don't use <mach/timex.h> ARM: ep93xx: stop using mach/timex.h ARM: mmp: stop using mach/timex.h ARM: netx: stop using mach/timex.h ARM: sa1100: stop using mach/timex.h clocksource: sirf/marco+prima2: drop usage of CLOCK_TICK_RATE rtc: pxa: drop unused #define TIMER_FREQ rtc: at91sam9: include <mach/hardware.h> explicitly ARM/serial: at91: switch atmel serial to use gpiolib Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>
2013-12-20ARM: drop <mach/timex.h> for !ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM, tooUwe Kleine-König1-9/+0
While <mach/timex.h> isn't used for multi-platform builds since long it still is for "normal" builds. As the previous patches fix all sites to not make use of this per-platform file, it can go now for good also for platforms that are not (yet) converted to multi-platform. While at it there are no users of CLOCK_TICK_RATE any more, so also drop the dummy #define. Signed-off-by: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de>

Pull ARM SoC platform changes from Olof Johansson: "This branch contains mostly additions and changes to platform enablement and SoC-level drivers. Since there's sometimes a dependency on device-tree changes, there's also a fair amount of those in this branch. Pieces worth mentioning are: - Mbus driver for Marvell platforms, allowing kernel configuration and resource allocation of on-chip peripherals. - Enablement of the mbus infrastructure from Marvell PCI-e drivers. - Preparation of MSI support for Marvell platforms. - Addition of new PCI-e host controller driver for Tegra platforms - Some churn caused by sharing of macro names between i.MX 6Q and 6DL platforms in the device tree sources and header files. - Various suspend/PM updates for Tegra, including LP1 support. - Versatile Express support for MCPM, part of big little support. - Allwinner platform support for A20 and A31 SoCs (dual and quad Cortex-A7) - OMAP2+ support for DRA7, a new Cortex-A15-based SoC. 2012-12-24ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren5-9/+5
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init() function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html Includes mach-omap2 fixes from Igor Grinberg. Since we are going to use IOMEM() to define many base virtual addresses, we can no longer use binary or to define the individual register addresses ("binary or" arithmetic on pointers is not allowed). Instead, use the more conventional plus operator to do so. The binary or operators were actually not useful because the low-order bits of the base address were always zero, so the usage of the binary or operators was effectively identical to a plus operator. The mv643xx ethernet controller limits the packet size for the TX checksum offloading. This patch sets this limits for Kirkwood and Dove which have smaller limits that the default. As a side note, this patch is an updated version of a patch sent some years ago: http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/linux-arm-kernel/2010-June/017320.html which seems to have been lost. Patch b6d1c33a31 "ARM: Orion: Consolidate the address map setup" tried to merge the address map for the four orion platforms, but apparently got it wrong for mv78xx0. Admittedly I don't understand what this code actually does, but it's clear that the current version is wrong. Without this patch, building mv78xx0_defconfig results in: arch/arm/mach-mv78xx0/addr-map.c:59:2: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type [enabled by default] arch/arm/mach-mv78xx0/addr-map.c:59:2: warning: (near initialization for 'addr_map_cfg.win_cfg_base') [enabled by default] Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Acked-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Cc: Michael Walle <michael@walle.cc> Cc: Nicolas Pitre <nico@linaro.org>
2012-08-13Merge branch 'cleanup/io-pci' into next/cleanupsArnd Bergmann5-118/+45
From Rob Herring <robherring2@gmail.com>: This is the 2nd part of mach/io.h removals. This series removes io.h on platforms with PCI by creating a fixed virtual I/O mapping and a common __io() macro. This version has changed a bit to accommodate Tegra converting its PCIe host to a platform driver. Now the virtual space is only reserved during early boot before .map_io() is called. The mapping is not created until calling pci_ioremap_io which can be done at any point after vmalloc is initialized. I've gone back to fixed 64K windows for each PCI bus. This allows removing all the i/o resource setup from the individually platforms and placing it within the common ARM PCI code. I've only tested versatilepb under qemu (with the model hacked up to actually enable i/o space), so any testing is appreciated. iop3xx and mv78xx0 have some risk of breaking as the PCI bus addresses are moved to 0 from matching the cpu host bus addesss. * cleanup/io-pci: ARM: iop3xx: use fixed PCI i/o mapping ARM: mv78xx0: use fixed pci i/o mapping ARM: iop13xx: use fixed PCI i/o mapping iop13xx: use more regular PCI I/O space handling ARM: orion5x: use fixed PCI i/o mapping ARM: kirkwood: use fixed PCI i/o mapping ARM: dove: use fixed PCI i/o mapping ARM: footbridge: use fixed PCI i/o mapping ARM: shark: use fixed PCI i/o mapping ARM: integrator: remove trailing whitespace on pci_v3.c ARM: integrator: use fixed PCI i/o mapping ARM: tegra: use fixed PCI i/o mapping ARM: versatile: use fixed PCI i/o mapping ARM: move PCI i/o resource setup into common code ARM: Add fixed PCI i/o mapping i2c: iop3xx: use standard gpiolib functions i2c: iop3xx: clean-up trailing whitespace Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>

2012-05-13ARM: PCI: get rid of pci_std_swizzle()Russell King1-1/+0
Most PCI implementations use the standard PCI swizzle function, which handles the well defined behaviour of PCI-to-PCI bridges which can be found on cards (eg, four port ethernet cards.) Rather than having almost every platform specify the standard swizzle function, make this the default when no swizzle function is supplied. Therefore, a swizzle function only needs to be provided when there is something exceptional which needs to be handled. This gets rid of the swizzle initializer from 47 files, and leaves us with just two platforms specifying a swizzle function: ARM Integrator and Chalice CATS.
