As suggested by Andrew Morton: This is a pet peeve of mine. Any time there's a long list of items (header file inclusions, kconfig entries, array initalisers, etc) and someone wants to add a new item, they *always* go and stick it at the end of the list. Guys, don't do this. Either put the new item into a randomly-chosen position or, probably better, alphanumerically sort the list. lets sort all our select statements alphanumerically. 2012-03-03ARM: S3C24XX: change the ARCH_S3C2410 to ARCH_S3C24XXKukjin Kim1-2/+2
This patch changes the ARCH name to "ARCH_S3C24XX" for Samsung S3C2410, S3C2412, S3C2413, S3C2416, S3C2440, S3C2442, S3C2443, and S3C2450 SoCs so that we can merge the mach-xxx directories and plat-s3c24xx dir. to just one mach-s3c24xx for them. I think this should be sent to upstream via samsung tree because this touches many samsung stuff. 2012-01-05ARM: 7254/1: restart: S3C24XX: move SWRST based S3C platforms toHeiko Stuebner4-6/+10
S3C2412/S3C2416/S3C2443 use a special register to signal the reset to the processor and used therefore the s3c24xx_reset_hook mechanism in the s3c24xx-specific arch reset. This patch introduces restart functions for these architectures, moves the board files to them and removes the s3c24xx_reset_hook infrastructure, as all users are gone. Basically the samsung_xxx prefix is used in gpio-samsung.c instead of s3c_xxx, because unified name can reduce its complexity. Note: some s3c_xxx stil remains because it is used widely. 2011-07-02ARM: pm: allow suspend finisher to return error codesRussell King1-1/+3
There are SoCs where attempting to enter a low power state is ignored, and the CPU continues executing instructions with all state preserved. It is over-complex at that point to disable the MMU just to call the resume path. Instead, allow the suspend finisher to return error codes to abort suspend in this circumstance, where the cpu_suspend internals will then unwind the saved state on the stack. S3C2416 PM code uses low-level sleep routines from S3C2412 code, but these routines are compiled only for S3C2412 SoC.
