The change to simplify of_platform_populate() had an unintended side-effect of introducing a build warning on s3c64xx: In file included from arch/arm/mach-s3c64xx/mach-s3c64xx-dt.c:18:0: arch/arm/mach-s3c64xx/common.h:27:30: error: 'struct device_node' declared inside parameter list will not be visible outside of this definition or declaration [-Werror] This adds a forward-declaration for the structure name in the header to avoid the warning. 2013-11-24ARM: s3c64xx: Add support for DMA using generic amba-pl08x driverTomasz Figa1-0/+5
This patch adds all required platform-specific data and initialization code to support the generic amba-pl08x driver on S3C64xx SoCs. Also some compatibility definitions are added to make the transition from legacy API to DMA engine easier. The biggest hack here is passing const char * pointers through DMA resource, casted to unsigned long, but this is how Samsung DMA wrappers (used to support both s3c-dma and DMA engine in drivers) are designed. This patch introduces common.[ch] which are used only in the arch/arm/mach-s3c64xx/ directory. The common.c file merges the cpu.c, irq.c and irq-eint.c which are used commonly on S3C64XX SoCs and the common.h file replaces with plat/s3c6400.h and plat/s3c6410.h files.
