2016-07-12ARM: ux500: consolidate base platform filesArnd Bergmann1-2/+1
The cpu.c and cache-l2x0.c files hold only two or three simple functions each, and they are all called from the machine descriptors, so we can just move them all into the same file for simplicity and consistency. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2016-07-12ARM: ux500: move soc_id driver to drivers/socArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
As the ux500 id code is basically a standalone driver, we can move it out of the arch code into drivers/soc/ux500. This is a user-visible change, as it moves all the devices in sysfs from /sys/devices/soc0/ to /sys/devices/ and leaves the soc0 node as a separate device. Originally the idea was to put all on-chip devices under the soc node, and ux500 was the first platform to have this device, but later platforms almost all didn't follow that pattern, so this makes the platform do the same thing as everyone else. Since the platform is really obsolete now, I am optimistic that nothing will break after moving the devices around. As the SoC driver no longer has access to the private header files, I'm changing the code to instead look up the address of the backupram from devicetree, which is a good idea anyway. Finally, having a separate Kconfig symbol means the driver is now optional and could even be a loadable module rather than always being built-in if we allowed that for soc_device. 2016-07-12ARM: ux500: move ab8500_regulator_plat_data into driverArnd Bergmann1-2/+1
There is only one instance of ab8500_regulator_platform_data, and it's safe to assume we won't ever merge another one, so it's rather pointless to pass it through multiple levels of platform data pointers. This moves the structure and everything referenced by it into the driver that uses it. 2015-12-01ARM/clocksource: use automatic DT probing for ux500 PRCMULinus Walleij1-1/+1
The ARM core kernel already calls clocksource_of_init() so why go to all the trouble of locating and probing this node in the machine. CLOCKSOURCE_OF_DECLARE() will take care of it in the clocksource driver, and thus we can also get rid of the dangling header file <linux/clksrc-dbx500-prcmu.h> Suggested-by: Arnd Bergmann <arndb@linaro.org> Acked-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Acked-by: Daniel Lezcano <daniel.lezcano@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2015-08-06ARM: ux500: simplify secondary CPU bootLinus Walleij1-1/+1
This removes a lot of ancient cruft from the Ux500 SMP boot. Instead of the pen grab/release, just point the ROM to secondary_boot() and start the second CPU there, then send the IPI. Use our own SMP enable method. This enables us to remove the last static mapping and get both CPUs booting properly. Tested this and it just works. 2014-10-28ARM: ux500: Initial support for PM domainsUlf Hansson1-0/+1
The ux500 SoC uses the generic PM domain and requires the domains to be specified through DT. Currently the genpd callbacks for handling power gating|ungating are implemented as dummy functions. To be able to enable those to perform PM domain gating/ungating, each device that resides in the VAPE domain must be properly handled from a runtime PM perspective. 2014-05-12ARM: ux500: Remove redundant board file for mmci platform dataUlf Hansson1-2/+1
Since all platform data has been transfered to DT, we don't need the container for the mmci platform data anymore. Remove the file and the corresponding references to it's data. Signed-off-by: Ulf Hansson <ulf.hansson@linaro.org> Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2014-02-04ARM: ux500: move last AB8505 set-up to DTLinus Walleij1-1/+0
This moves the set-up of the HREF500 with its AB8505 ASIC to a device tree include. Since there is not yet any device tree for this board the DTSI is currently unused. After this delete the board file for pins for good and migration of pins to the device tree is complete. commit f1ff5b2549990b5de080b52e3313cbb30c218853 "ARM: ux500: Stop enabling GPIOs when not booting with Device Tree" deleted devices-common.c, but did not delete the build rule from Makefile (most likely due to compiling in a dirty tree where the object file still existed so linking would complete anyway). 2013-04-08ARM: ux500: build hotplug.o for ARMv7-aArnd Bergmann1-0/+2

2013-04-08ARM: ux500: move PM-related PRCMU functions to machineLinus Walleij1-1/+1
We are trying to decompose and decentralize the code in the DB8500 PRCMU out into subdrivers. The code moved in this patch concerns a group of functions used for decoupling and recoupling the IRQs from the GIC. During sleep and idle the Ux500 system will transfer all IRQ handling to the PRCMU using these functions. Basically we are left with the two alternatives of code placement as: - arch/arm/mach-ux500/pm.c - this because the code is closely related to the GIC, and takes ownership of some of the registers from the PRCMU related to this PM functionality. - drivers/mfd/db8500-prcmu-pm.c - because the code is affecting stuff in the PRCMU register range. But then this code needs to remap and handle GIC registers. This patch implementation is taking the first approach. Currently the cpuidle driver is the only piece of code using this set of functions, but it will later also be used by the suspend/resume code which is currently under review. The header file is moved to: <linux/platform_data/arm-ux500-pm.h> The function prototypes need to be placed in a globally visible header since the CPUidle code is planned to move out to drivers/cpuidle. 2012-05-02ARM: ux500: add the cpuidle driver for WFI and ARM retentionDaniel Lezcano1-0/+1
This patch adds the cpuidle driver for the ux500 SoC. The boards saves 12mA with these states. It is based on the latest cpuidle consolidation from Robert Lee. The cpu can go to retention only if the other core is in WFI. If the other cpu is in WFI and we decoupled the gic from the cores, then we have the guarantee, it won't be wake up. It is up to the prcmu firmware to recouple the gic automatically after the power state mode is selected. 2012-05-02ARM: ux500: delete U5500 supportLinus Walleij1-5/+0
This platform has been obsoleted and was only available inside of ST-Ericsson, no users of this code are left in the world. This deletes the core U5500 support entirely in the same manner as the obsoleted U8500 silicon was previously deleted. The cpu_is_u5500() macros that can read out the CPU ID is left until the next kernel cycle, this makes it possible to merge deletion of dependent drivers without breakage. This also has the upside of removing the mailbox driver which was our only driver that was outside the drivers/* hiearchy, now the machine directory only handles machines and nothing else. First rename the config option MACH_U8500 to MACH_MOP500 because that is what it's obviously all about, this has confused me for the last time. Fix some whitespace in the process. 2011-01-10ux500: rename MOP board KconfigRabin Vincent1-1/+1
Rename the MOP board Kconfig entries to the same name as the machine type, so that the machine_is_*() macros work correctly. Signed-off-by: Rabin Vincent <rabin.vincent@stericsson.com> [Updated to match changes in the tree] Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@stericsson.com>
2010-12-22ux500: rename modem IRQ and MBOX filesLinus Walleij1-2/+2
Suffix the U5500 modem IRQ and MBOX files with *-db5500* so that we clearly know the SoC they belong to, in line with the rest of the files in mach-ux500.
