2015-02-20MIPS: ip22-gio: Remove legacy suspend/resume supportLars-Peter Clausen1-24/+0
There are currently no gio device drivers that implement suspend/resume and this patch removes the bus specific legacy suspend and resume callbacks. This will allow us to eventually remove struct bus_type legacy suspend and resume support altogether. gio device drivers wanting to implement suspend and resume can use dev PM ops which will work out of the box without further modifications necessary. The MIPS implementation of die() forgets to call notify_die() and thus notifiers registered via register_die_notifier() are not called. This results in kgdb not being activated on exceptions. The only subtlety is that notify_die declares its regs argument w/o const, so the const had to be removed from mips die() as well. SGI-IP28 is running in so called slow mode, when kernel is started from the PROM. PROM calls must be done in slow mode otherwise the PROM will issue an error. To get better memory performance we now switch to normal mode, when the PROM is no longer needed.
