2016-07-08powerpc: define the fman node for the kmcoge4 DTSValentin Longchamp1-0/+37
Now that the FMAN mac driver has been merged the fman node is relevant. The kmcoge4 board implements 3 ethernet interfaces, 1 with a RGMII phy and 2 with fixed 1 Giga SGMII links. Signed-off-by: Valentin Longchamp <valentin.longchamp@keymile.com> Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <oss@buserror.net>
2016-07-08powerpc/86xx: Add support for Emerson/Artesyn MVME7100Alessio Igor Bogani6-1/+233
Add support for the Artesyn MVME7100 Single Board Computer. The MVME7100 is a 6U form factor VME64 computer with: - A two e600 cores Freescale MPC8641D CPU - 2 GB of DDR2 onboard memory - Four Gigabit Ethernets - Five 16550 compatible UARTs - One USB 2.0 port - Two PCI/PCI eXpress Mezzanine Card (PMC/XMC) Slots - A DS1375 Real Time Clock (RTC) - 512 KB of Non-Volatile Memory (NVRAM) - Two 64 KB EEPROMs - 128 MB NOR and 4/8 GB NAND Flash This patch is based on linux-4.7-rc1 and has been only boot tested. Limitations: This patch covers only models 171 and 173 No plans to support CPLD timers Know issues: All four PHYs work in polling mode Configuration is missing for: PCI IDSEL and PCI Interrupt definition Support is missing for: Cache and memory controllers (which are very similar to the 85xx ones but right now I don't know if we can re-use their support) Watchdog, USB, NVRAM, NOR, NAND, EEPROMs, VME, PMC/XMC and RTC Signed-off-by: Alessio Igor Bogani <alessio.bogani@elettra.eu> Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <oss@buserror.net>

2016-07-05powerpc/boot: Add OPAL console to epapr wrappersOliver O'Halloran7-2/+175
This patch adds an OPAL console backend to the powerpc boot wrapper so that decompression failures inside the wrapper can be reported to the user. This is important since it typically indicates data corruption in the firmware and other nasty things. Currently this only works when building a little endian kernel. When compiling a 64 bit BE kernel the wrapper is always build 32 bit to be compatible with some 32 bit firmwares. BE support will be added at a later date. Another limitation of this is that only the "raw" type of OPAL console is supported, however machines that provide a hvsi console also provide a raw console so this is not an issue in practice. Commit dc37374b9c833 ("powerpc/fsl: Move Freescale device tree files into fsl folder") moved a lot of device tree files into fsl directory, fixing Makefile for cuImage target only. Unfortunately there are other targets which require embedding a device tree into the kernel image (e.g. dtbImage.%). So use a more generic approach. 2015-12-09powerpc/sbc8641: drop bogus PHY IRQ entries from DTS filePaul Gortmaker1-8/+0
This file was originally cloned off of the MPC8641D-HPCN reference platform, which actually had a PHY IRQ line connected. However this board does not. The bogus entry was largely inert and went undetected until commit 321beec5047af83db90c88114b7e664b156f49fe ("net: phy: Use interrupts when available in NOLINK state") was added to the tree. With the above commit, the board fails to NFS boot since it sits waiting for a PHY IRQ event that of course never arrives. Removing the bogus entries from the DTS file fixes the issue. 2015-10-17powerpc/fsl: Move Freescale device tree files into fsl folderHongtao Jia105-143/+146
It makes no sense that some Freescale device tree files are in fsl directory while some others not. This patch move Freescale device tree files into fsl folder. To do that the following two steps are made: - Move Freescale device tree files into fsl folder. - Update the include path in these files from "fsl/*.dtsi" to "*.dtsi". Please add "fsl/" prefix when you make dtb using Makefile. Signed-off-by: Jia Hongtao <hongtao.jia@freescale.com> [scottwood: fixed cuImage rule] Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <scottwood@freescale.com>
2015-10-17powerpc/b4860: Removed LIODN register from sRIO nodepoonam aggrwal1-2/+0
In case of B4860 LIODN register for sRIO is not in GUTs block but in the sRIO register space. Signed-off-by: Varun Sethi <Varun.Sethi@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Poonam Aggrwal <poonam.aggrwal@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <scottwood@freescale.com>
2015-10-17powerpc/85xx: Add support for Varisys Cyrus boardAndy Fleming1-0/+155
This board uses a P5020 chip, and boots just fine using the corenet_generic code. The device tree is very similar to the P5020DS, except that there is no Flash memory. The environment is, instead, stored on an MMC card on the motherboard. 2015-10-16powerpc/t104xd4rdb: add DS26522 nodes to device treeZhao Qiang1-0/+10
DS26522 is used for tdm, configured by SPI bus. Add nodes under spi node to t104xd4rdb.dtsi. Signed-off-by: Zhao Qiang <qiang.zhao@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <scottwood@freescale.com>
2015-10-16powerpc/dts: don't fall back to fsl,pq3-gpio for fsl,mpc8572-gpioUwe Kleine-König2-2/+2
While the handling of fsl,pq3-gpio and fsl,mpc8572-gpio is done in the same driver and the two hardly differ, the latter controller needs a workaround for an erratum in the gpio_get callback. To make this difference more explicit remove fsl,pq3-gpio from the list of compatibles for mpc8572 machines. 2015-10-15powerpc: Delete old orphaned PrPMC 280/2800 DTS and boot file.Paul Gortmaker2-868/+0
In commit 3c8464a9b12bf83807b6e2c896d7e7b633e1cae7 ("powerpc: Delete old PrPMC 280/2800 support") we got rid of most of the C code, and the Makefile/Kconfig hooks, but it seems I left the platform's DTS file orphaned in the tree as well as the boot code. Here we get rid of them both.
