2011-05-19powerpc/mpc5121_ads_cpld: Remove use of NO_IRQ_IGNOREMilton Miller1-3/+3
As NO_IRQ_IGNORE is only used between the static function cpld_pic_get_irq and its caller cpld_pic_cascade, and cpld_pic_cascade only uses it to suppress calling handle_generic_irq, we can change these uses to NO_IRQ and remove the extra tests and pathlength in cpld_pic_cascade. 2011-01-01of/flattree: Add of_flat_dt_match() helper functionGrant Likely1-11/+2
This patch adds of_flat_dt_match() which tests a node for compatibility with a list of values and converts the relevant powerpc platform code to use it. This approach simplifies the board support code a bit. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Reviewed-by: Stephen Neuendorffer <stephen.neuendorffer@xilinx.com>

2010-08-01powerpc/5121: shared DIU framebuffer supportAnatolij Gustschin4-0/+290
MPC5121 DIU configuration/setup as initialized by the boot loader currently will get lost while booting Linux. As a result displaying the boot splash is not possible through the boot process. To prevent this we reserve configured DIU frame buffer address range while booting and preserve AOI descriptor and gamma table so that DIU continues displaying through the whole boot process. On first open from user space DIU frame buffer driver releases the reserved frame buffer area and continues to operate as usual. 2010-07-24powerpc: remove references to of_device and to_of_deviceGrant Likely1-1/+1

2010-05-25powerpc/mpc5121: move PSC FIFO memory init to platform codeAnatolij Gustschin1-0/+78
Since PSC could also be used in other modes than UART mode we move PSC FIFO memory initialization from serial driver to common platform code. The initialized FIFO memory slices may not overlap, so the most easy way would be to configure them all at once at init time for all PSC devices. This is now done by this patch. 2009-10-30powerpc: Remove get_irq_desc()Michael Ellerman1-1/+1
get_irq_desc() is a powerpc-specific version of irq_to_desc(). That is reason enough to remove it, but it also doesn't know about sparse irq_desc support which irq_to_desc() does (when we enable it). 2009-06-17powerpc/5121: make clock debug output more readableWolfram Sang1-4/+4

2009-06-17powerpc/5xxx: Add common mpc5xxx_get_bus_frequency() functionWolfgang Denk3-25/+1
So far, MPC512x used mpc512x_find_ips_freq() to get the bus frequency, while MPC52xx used mpc52xx_find_ipb_freq(). Despite the different clock names (IPS vs. IPB) the code was identical. Use common code for both processor families. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca>
2009-03-11powerpc/kconfig: Kill PPC_MULTIPLATFORMBenjamin Herrenschmidt1-2/+2
CONFIG_PPC_MULTIPLATFORM is a remain of the pre-powerpc days and isn't really meaningful anymore. It was basically equivalent to PPC64 || 6xx. This removes it along with the following changes: - 32-bit platforms that relied on PPC32 && PPC_MULTIPLATFORM now rely on 6xx which is what they want anyway. - A new symbol, PPC_BOOK3S, is defined that represent compliance with the "Server" variant of the architecture. This is set when either 6xx or PPC64 is set and open the door for future BOOK3E 64-bit. - 64-bit platforms that relied on PPC64 && PPC_MULTIPLATFORM now use PPC64 && PPC_BOOK3S - A separate and selectable CONFIG_PPC_OF_BOOT_TRAMPOLINE option is now used to control the use of prom_init.c Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
