2007-10-09[POWERPC] cell: Move cbe_regs.h to include/asm-powerpc/cell-regs.hBenjamin Herrenschmidt1-1/+1
The new Cell EDAC driver needs that file, oprofile also does ugly path tricks to get to it, it's time to move it to asm-powerpc. While at it, rename it to be consistent with cell-pmu.h (and dashes look nicer than underscores anyway). 2007-08-25[POWERPC] spu_manage: Use newer physical-id attributeChristian Krafft1-5/+1
Legacy device tree used the reg property for the physical id of an spe. On newer device tree layouts the reg property contains the "correct" value in the reg attribute. So there has been intoduced the "physical-id" on newer devicetree layouts. The id is stored by spu_manage into the spu struct as spe_id. cbe_thermal has been changed to use the spu->spe_id. There's no need for the thermal code to check devicetree attributes for itself. 2007-07-20[CELL] fix cbe_thermal for legacy SLOF tree.Jean-Christophe DUBOIS1-5/+20
Previous patch changed based on Christian Krafft's comment. On some legacy SLOF tree the generic code is unable to ioremap some Cell BE registers. Therefore the "generic" functions are returning a NULL pointer, triggering a crash on such platforms. Let's handle this more gracefully. 2007-04-23[POWERPC] cbe_thermal: add throttling attributes to cpu and spu nodesChristian Krafft1-1/+154
This patch adds some attributes the cpu and spu nodes: /sys/devices/system/[c|s]pu/[c|s]pu*/thermal/throttle_begin /sys/devices/system/[c|s]pu/[c|s]pu*/thermal/throttle_end /sys/devices/system/[c|s]pu/[c|s]pu*/thermal/throttle_full_stop Signed-off-by: Christian Krafft <krafft@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd.bergmann@de.ibm.com>
2007-04-23[POWERPC] cbe_thermal: clean up computation of temperatureChristian Krafft1-18/+10
This patch introduces a little function for transforming register values into temperature. Signed-off-by: Christian Krafft <krafft@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd.bergmann@de.ibm.com>

2006-12-08[POWERPC] cbe_thermal: Fix initialization of sysfs attribute_groupChristian Krafft1-0/+2
This patch adds NULL to the initialization of the attribute_groups. The spu_attributes and ppe_attributes arrays are arrays of pointers that need to be terminated with a NULL entry. Signed-off-by: Christian Krafft <krafft@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2006-12-04[POWERPC] cell: abstract spu management routinesGeoff Levand1-2/+3
This adds a platform specific spu management abstraction and the coresponding routines to support the IBM Cell Blade. It also removes the hypervisor only resources that were included in struct spu. Three new platform specific routines are introduced, spu_enumerate_spus(), spu_create_spu() and spu_destroy_spu(). The underlying design uses a new type, struct spu_management_ops, to hold function pointers that the platform setup code is expected to initialize to instances appropriate to that platform. For the IBM Cell Blade support, I put the hypervisor only resources that were in struct spu into a platform specific data structure struct spu_pdata. 2006-10-25[POWERPC] cell: add temperature to SPU and CPU sysfs entriesChristian Krafft1-0/+225
This patch adds a module that registers sysfs attributes to CPU and SPU containing the temperature of the CBE. They can be found under /sys/devices/system/spu/cpuX/thermal/temperature[0|1] /sys/devices/system/spu/spuX/thermal/temperature The temperature is read from the on-chip temperature sensors.
