Update license to use SPDX-License-Identifier instead of verbose license text. As original license mentioned, it is GPL-2.0 in SPDX. Then, MODULE_LICENSE() should be "GPL v2" instead of "GPL". 2012-08-09sh: dma: fix request_irq usageMike Frysinger1-1/+1
When calling request_irq with IRQF_SHARED, the dev cookie must be set (i.e. non-NULL), otherwise the code rejects it immediately with -EINVAL. So restore the logic here where we'd pass a pointer to the name as a dummy unique val. Otherwise, booting up on my LANDISK system would fail with: DMAC Address Error0 request_irq fail This was introduced in commit 7f47c7189b3e8f19a589f77a3ad169d7b691b582. 2012-05-19sh: dma: More legacy cpu dma chainsawing.Paul Mundt1-113/+177
Attempt to "tidy" up some of the multi IRQ handling and base + IRQ management. This should keep it limping along without too much hassle, and no new parts should ever be enabling or using this API anyways. It doesn't get any closer to lipstick on a pig as this. 2011-10-28SH: irq: Remove IRQF_DISABLEDYong Zhang1-2/+2
Since commit [e58aa3d2: genirq: Run irq handlers with interrupts disabled], We run all interrupt handlers with interrupts disabled and we even check and yell when an interrupt handler returns with interrupts enabled (see commit [b738a50a: genirq: Warn when handler enables interrupts]). So now this flag is a NOOP and can be removed. Signed-off-by: Yong Zhang <yong.zhang0@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>

2010-02-08sh: fix Transfer Size calculation in both DMA driversGuennadi Liakhovetski1-1/+4
Both the original arch/sh/drivers/dma/dma-sh.c and the new SH dmaengine drivers do not take into account bits 3:2 of the Transfer Size field in the CHCR register, besides, bit-field defines set bit 2, but the mask only passes bits 1:0 through. TS_16BLK and TS_32BLK macros are bogus too. This patch fixes all these issues for sh7722 and sh7724, other CPUs stay unchanged and might need to be fixed too. 2010-01-26sh: Mass ctrl_in/outX to __raw_read/writeX conversion.Paul Mundt1-13/+13
The old ctrl in/out routines are non-portable and unsuitable for cross-platform use. While drivers/sh has already been sanitized, there is still quite a lot of code that is not. This converts the arch/sh/ bits over, which permits us to flag the routines as deprecated whilst still building with -Werror for the architecture code, and to ensure that future users are not added. 2009-03-16sh: Move IRQ multi definition of DMAC to defconfigNobuhiro Iwamatsu1-12/+5
When SuperH CPU has IRQ multi of DMAC, SH_DMA_IRQ_MULTI becomes enable. The following CPU's are Multi IRQ of DMAC now. - SH775X and SH7091 - SH776X - SH7780 - SH7785 If SH_DMA_IRQ_MULTI becomes enable, dma-sh api driver is optimized for Multi IRQ. 2009-03-16sh: Disable get_dma_error_irq for non-SH4 targets.Nobuhiro Iwamatsu1-0/+2
dma-sh's get_dma_error_irq() is only used by SH4, as the SH3 doesn't have the DMA Error interrupt. Disable it out for non-SH4 builds. Signed-off-by: Nobuhiro Iwamatsu <iwamatsu.nobuhiro@renesas.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2009-03-10sh: dma-sh updates for multi IRQ and new SH-4A CPUs.Nobuhiro Iwamatsu1-57/+115
This adds DMA support for newer SH-4A CPUs, particularly SH7763/64/80/85. This also enables multi IRQ support for platforms that have multiple vectors bound to the same IRQ source. 2008-02-27arch/sh/drivers/dma/dma-sh.c: Correct use of ! and &Julia Lawall1-1/+1
In commit e6bafba5b4765a5a252f1b8d31cbf6d2459da337, a bug was fixed that involved converting !x & y to !(x & y). The code below shows the same pattern, and thus should perhaps be fixed in the same way. This is not tested and clearly changes the semantics, so it is only something to consider. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://www.emn.fr/x-info/coccinelle/) // <smpl> @@ expression E1,E2; @@ ( !E1 & !E2 | - !E1 & E2 + !(E1 & E2) ) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>

2007-02-13sh: SH-DMAC compile fixesManuel Lauss1-29/+16
This patch does the following: - remove the make_ipr_irq stuff from dma-sh.c and replace it with a simple channel<->irq mapping table. - add DMTEx_IRQ constants for sh4 cpus - fix sh7751 DMAE irq number The SH7780 uses the same IRQs for DMA as other SH4 types, so I put the constants on top of the dma.h file. Other CPU types need to #define their own DMTEx_IRQ contants in their appropriate header. Signed-off-by: Manuel Lauss <mano@roarinelk.homelinux.net> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-12-06sh: Drop name overload in dma-sh.Paul Mundt1-8/+1
Pass along the dev_id from request_dma() all the way down, rather than inserting an artificial name relating to the TEI line that we were doing before. This makes the line a bit less obvious, but dev_id is the proper behaviour for this regardless. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-10-31sh: Fix IPR-IRQ's for IRQ-chip change breakage.Jamie Lenehan1-16/+26
The conversion from IPR-IRQ to IRQ-chip resulted in the ipr data being allocated in a local variable in make_ipr_irq - breaking anything using IPR interrupts. This changes all of the callers of make_ipr_irq to allocate a static structure containing the IPR data which is then passed to make_ipr_irq. This removes the need for make_ipr_irq to allocate any additional space for the IPR information. Signed-off-by: Jamie Lenehan <lenehan@twibble.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>

2006-01-16[PATCH] sh: DMA updatesPaul Mundt1-52/+82
This extends the current SH DMA API somewhat to support a proper virtual channel abstraction, and also works to represent this through the driver model by giving each DMAC its own platform device. There's also a few other minor changes to support a few new CPU subtypes, and make TEI generation for the SH DMAC configurable. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
