2017-07-11sh: move generic-y of exported headers to uapi/asm/KbuildMasahiro Yamada1-19/+0
Since commit fcc8487d477a ("uapi: export all headers under uapi directories"), all (and only) headers under uapi directories are exported, but asm-generic wrappers are still exceptions. To complete de-coupling the uapi from kernel headers, move generic-y of exported headers to uapi/asm/Kbuild. With this change, "make headers_install" will just need to parse uapi/asm/Kbuild to build up exported headers. Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>
2017-06-04signal: Remove non-uapi <asm/siginfo.h>Christoph Hellwig1-1/+0
By moving the kernel side __SI_* defintions right next to the userspace ones we can kill the non-uapi versions of <asm/siginfo.h> include include/asm-generic/siginfo.h and untangle the unholy mess of includes. 2017-02-01sched/cputime: Remove generic asm headersFrederic Weisbecker1-1/+0
cputime_t is now only used by two architectures: * powerpc (when CONFIG_VIRT_CPU_ACCOUNTING_NATIVE=y) * s390 And since the core doesn't use it anymore, we don't need any arch support from the others. So we can remove their stub implementations. A final cleanup would be to provide an efficient pure arch implementation of cputime_to_nsec() for s390 and powerpc and finally remove include/linux/cputime.h . 2016-04-13locking/rwsem, sh: Drop superfluous arch specific implementationMichal Hocko1-0/+1
Since "locking, rwsem: drop explicit memory barriers" the arch specific code is basically same as the the generic one so we can drop the superfluous code. 2016-03-17sh: Use generic clkdev.h headerStephen Boyd1-0/+1
The generic header file is almost equivalent to the SH one. The only difference is that the SH one supports allocating clkdev lookups early using bootmem allocators instead of the slabs. From what I can tell using visual inspection, the slab is initialized before any clkdev allocation is made under arch/sh. So let's remove the arch specific clkdev.h header and use the generic one instead. Signed-off-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: Rich Felker <dalias@libc.org>
2015-07-17mm: clean up per architecture MM hook header filesLaurent Dufour1-0/+1
Commit 2ae416b142b6 ("mm: new mm hook framework") introduced an empty header file (mm-arch-hooks.h) for every architecture, even those which doesn't need to define mm hooks. As suggested by Geert Uytterhoeven, this could be cleaned through the use of a generic header file included via each per architecture asm/include/Kbuild file. The PowerPC architecture is not impacted here since this architecture has to defined the arch_remap MM hook. As there are now no remaining users of arch_fast_hash(), lets kill it entirely. This basically reverts commit 71ae8aac3e19 ("lib: introduce arch optimized hash library") and follow-up work, that is f.e., commit 237217546d44 ("lib: hash: follow-up fixups for arch hash"), commit e3fec2f74f7f ("lib: Add missing arch generic-y entries for asm-generic/hash.h") and last but not least commit 6a02652df511 ("perf tools: Fix include for non x86 architectures"). 2014-09-13irq_work: Introduce arch_irq_work_has_interrupt()Peter Zijlstra1-0/+1

We order the files in each Kbuild in alphabetical order by running the below script. for i in arch/*/include/asm/Kbuild do cat $i | gawk '/^generic-y/ { i = 3; do { for (; i <= NF; i++) { if ($i == "\\") { getline; i = 1; continue; } if ($i != "") hdr[$i] = $i; } break; } while (1); next; } // { print $0; } END { n = asort(hdr); for (i = 1; i <= n; i++) print "generic-y += " hdr[i]; }' > ${i}.sorted; mv ${i}.sorted $i; done Signed-off-by: Tim Chen <tim.c.chen@linux.intel.com> Cc: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Cc: Matthew R Wilcox <matthew.r.wilcox@intel.com> Cc: AswinChandramouleeswaran <aswin@hp.com> Cc: Dave Hansen <dave.hansen@intel.com> Cc: "Paul E.McKenney" <paulmck@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Cc: Scott J Norton <scott.norton@hp.com> Cc: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com> Cc: "Figo.zhang" <figo1802@gmail.com> Cc: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org> Cc: Rik van Riel <riel@redhat.com> Cc: Waiman Long <waiman.long@hp.com> Cc: Peter Hurley <peter@hurleysoftware.com> Cc: Andrea Arcangeli <aarcange@redhat.com> Cc: Tim Chen <tim.c.chen@linux.intel.com> Cc: Alex Shi <alex.shi@linaro.org> Cc: Raghavendra K T <raghavendra.kt@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Cc: Andi Kleen <andi@firstfloor.org> Cc: George Spelvin <linux@horizon.com> Cc: MichelLespinasse <walken@google.com> Cc: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Cc: "H. 2012-11-13tracing,x86: Add a TSC trace_clockDavid Sharp1-0/+1
In order to promote interoperability between userspace tracers and ftrace, add a trace_clock that reports raw TSC values which will then be recorded in the ring buffer. Userspace tracers that also record TSCs are then on exactly the same time base as the kernel and events can be unambiguously interlaced. Tested: Enabled a tracepoint and the "tsc" trace_clock and saw very large timestamp values. v2: Move arch-specific bits out of generic code. v3: Rename "x86-tsc", cleanups v7: Generic arch bits in Kbuild. 2009-12-08sh: hw-breakpoints: Add preliminary support for SH-4A UBC.Paul Mundt1-1/+3
This adds preliminary support for the SH-4A UBC to the hw-breakpoints API. Presently only a single channel is implemented, and the ptrace interface still needs to be converted. This is the first step to cleaning up the long-standing UBC mess, making the UBC more generally accessible, and finally making it SMP safe. An additional abstraction will be layered on top of this as with the perf events code to permit the various CPU families to wire up support for their own specific UBCs, as many variations exist. Adds a system call to allow user code to flush code from the cache.
