Disintegrate asm/system.h for Sparc. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> cc: sparclinux@vger.kernel.org
2011-07-26atomic: cleanup asm-generic atomic*.h inclusionArun Sharma1-1/+0
After changing all consumers of atomics to include <linux/atomic.h>, we ran into some compile time errors due to this dependency chain: linux/atomic.h -> asm/atomic.h -> asm-generic/atomic-long.h where atomic-long.h could use funcs defined later in linux/atomic.h without a prototype. This patches moves the code that includes asm-generic/atomic*.h to linux/atomic.h. Archs that need <asm-generic/atomic64.h> need to select CONFIG_GENERIC_ATOMIC64 from now on (some of them used to include it unconditionally). Compile tested on i386 and x86_64 with allnoconfig. 2011-07-26atomic: move atomic_add_unless to generic codeArun Sharma1-2/+2
This is in preparation for more generic atomic primitives based on __atomic_add_unless. 2011-07-26atomic: use <linux/atomic.h>Arun Sharma1-1/+0
This allows us to move duplicated code in <asm/atomic.h> (atomic_inc_not_zero() for now) to <linux/atomic.h> Signed-off-by: Arun Sharma <asharma@fb.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Cc: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Cc: David Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Cc: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Acked-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2010-08-17sparc64: Really fix atomic64_t interface types.David S. Miller1-4/+4
Linus noticed that some of the interface arguments didn't get "int" --> "long" conversion, as needed. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2010-08-17sparc64: Fix atomic64_t routine return values.David S. Miller1-3/+3
Should return 'long' instead of 'int'. Thanks to Dimitris Michailidis and Tony Luck. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2010-05-17atomic_t: Cast to volatile when accessing atomic variablesAnton Blanchard1-2/+2
In preparation for removing volatile from the atomic_t definition, this patch adds a volatile cast to all the atomic read functions. Signed-off-by: Anton Blanchard <anton@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2009-06-11asm-generic: rename atomic.h to atomic-long.hArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
The existing asm-generic/atomic.h only defines the atomic_long type. This renames it to atomic-long.h so we have a place to add a truly generic atomic.h that can be used on all non-SMP systems. 2009-01-06atomic_t: unify all arch definitionsMatthew Wilcox1-3/+0
The atomic_t type cannot currently be used in some header files because it would create an include loop with asm/atomic.h. Move the type definition to linux/types.h to break the loop. 2008-12-04sparc64: Stop using memory barriers for atomics and locks.David S. Miller1-7/+0
The kernel always executes in the TSO memory model now, so none of this stuff is necessary any more. With helpful feedback from Nick Piggin. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-07-27sparc, sparc64: use arch/sparc/includeSam Ravnborg1-0/+128
The majority of this patch was created by the following script: *** ASM=arch/sparc/include/asm mkdir -p $ASM git mv include/asm-sparc64/ftrace.h $ASM git rm include/asm-sparc64/* git mv include/asm-sparc/* $ASM sed -ie 's/asm-sparc64/asm/g' $ASM/* sed -ie 's/asm-sparc/asm/g' $ASM/* *** The rest was an update of the top-level Makefile to use sparc for header files when sparc64 is being build. And a small fixlet to pick up the correct unistd.h from sparc64 code. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org>
