2017-08-10mm: add pmd_t initializer __pmd() to work around a GCC bug.Zi Yan1-0/+2
THP migration is added but only supports x86_64 at the moment. For all other architectures, swp_entry_to_pmd() only returns a zero pmd_t. Due to a GCC zero initializer bug #53119, the standard (pmd_t){0} initializer is not accepted by all GCC versions. __pmd() is a feasible workaround. In addition, sparc32's pmd_t is an array instead of a single value, so we need (pmd_t){ {0}, } instead of (pmd_t){0}. Thus, a different __pmd() definition is needed in sparc32. 2016-05-20sparc32: fix build with STRICT_MM_TYPECHECKSSam Ravnborg1-2/+0
Based on recent thread on linux-arch (some weeks ago) I decided to check how much work was required to build sparc32 with STRICT_MM_TYPECHECKS enabled. The resulting binary (checked srmmu.o) was to my suprise smaller with STRICT_MM_TYPECHECKS defined, than without. As I have no working gear to test sparc32 bits at for the moment, I did not enable STRICT_MM_TYPECHECKS - but was tempeted to do so. The base is always the same so no need to use a variable for this. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2011-12-29sparc32: fix PAGE_SIZE definitionSam Ravnborg1-7/+3
Use _AC() in definition of PAGE_SIZE so the same definition can be used in C and assembler. Also use PAGE_SIZE in definition of THREAD_SIZE. This commit kill the following comment: "I have my suspicions... -DaveM" I did not find any clue what this referred to anyway. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Signed-off-by: David S. 2010-01-14sparc32: Fix page_to_phys().David S. Miller1-1/+1
It doesn't account for phys_base like it should, fix by using page_to_pfn(). While we're here, make virt_to_page() use pfn_to_page() as well, so we consistently use the asm/memory-model.h abstractions instead of open-coding memory model assumptions. 2009-06-11asm-generic: rename page.h and uaccess.hArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
The current asm-generic/page.h only contains the get_order function, and asm-generic/uaccess.h only implements unaligned accesses. This renames the file to getorder.h and uaccess-unaligned.h to make room for new page.h and uaccess.h file that will be usable by all simple (e.g. nommu) architectures. 2008-08-31sparc: remove CONFIG_SUN4Adrian Bunk1-4/+1
While doing some easy cleanups on the sparc code I noticed that the CONFIG_SUN4 code seems to be worse than the rest - there were some "I don't know how it should work, but the current code definitely cannot work." places. And while I have seen people running Linux on machines like a SPARCstation 5 a few years ago I don't recall having seen sun4 machines, even less ones running Linux. 2008-07-27sparc, sparc64: use arch/sparc/includeSam Ravnborg1-0/+160
The majority of this patch was created by the following script: *** ASM=arch/sparc/include/asm mkdir -p $ASM git mv include/asm-sparc64/ftrace.h $ASM git rm include/asm-sparc64/* git mv include/asm-sparc/* $ASM sed -ie 's/asm-sparc64/asm/g' $ASM/* sed -ie 's/asm-sparc/asm/g' $ASM/* *** The rest was an update of the top-level Makefile to use sparc for header files when sparc64 is being build. And a small fixlet to pick up the correct unistd.h from sparc64 code. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org>
