2010-01-28of: unify phandle name in struct device_nodeGrant Likely1-1/+1
In struct device_node, the phandle is named 'linux_phandle' for PowerPC and MicroBlaze, and 'node' for SPARC. There is no good reason for the difference, it is just an artifact of the code diverging over a couple of years. This patch renames both to simply .phandle. Note: the .node also existed in PowerPC/MicroBlaze, but the only user seems to be arch/powerpc/platforms/powermac/pfunc_core.c. It doesn't look like the assignment between .linux_phandle and .node is significantly different enough to warrant the separate code paths unless ibm,phandle properties actually appear in Apple device trees. I think it is safe to eliminate the old .node property and use phandle everywhere. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Acked-by: David S. It is always equals y so no need to test for it Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-08-31sparc: remove CONFIG_SUN4Adrian Bunk1-1/+1
While doing some easy cleanups on the sparc code I noticed that the CONFIG_SUN4 code seems to be worse than the rest - there were some "I don't know how it should work, but the current code definitely cannot work." places. And while I have seen people running Linux on machines like a SPARCstation 5 a few years ago I don't recall having seen sun4 machines, even less ones running Linux. 2007-12-05[SPARC]: Add missing of_node_putJulia Lawall1-1/+3
There should be an of_node_put when breaking out of a loop that iterates using for_each_node_by_type. Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2006-07-21[SPARC]: Simplify and correct __cpu_find_by()David S. Miller1-18/+7
By using for_each_node_by_type(). Also, correct a spurioud test in check_cpu_node() on sparc64. It is only called with nodes that have device_type "cpu". Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
