2006-12-22[CPUFREQ] select consistentlyRandy Dunlap1-0/+1
Make x86_64 ACPI_CPU_FREQ select CPU_FREQ_TABLE like other methods do. (although we should still eliminate as much use of 'select' as possible) Signed-off-by: Randy Dunlap <randy.dunlap@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Dave Jones <davej@redhat.com>
2006-10-15[CPUFREQ][4/8] acpi-cpufreq: Mark speedstep-centrino ACPI as deprecatedVenkatesh Pallipadi2-2/+6
Mark ACPI hooks in speedstep-centrino as deprecated. Change the order in which speedstep-centrino and acpi-cpufreq (when both are in kernel) will be added. First driver to be tried is now acpi-cpufreq, followed by speedstep-centrino. Add a note in feature-removal-schedule to mark this deprecation. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
