Drop use of the deprecated drmP.h file. Replace with forwards / externals as appropriate. 2019-01-24drm: Split out drm_probe_helper.hDaniel Vetter1-2/+2
Having the probe helper stuff (which pretty much everyone needs) in the drm_crtc_helper.h file (which atomic drivers should never need) is confusing. Split them out. To make sure I actually achieved the goal here I went through all drivers. And indeed, all atomic drivers are now free of drm_crtc_helper.h includes. v2: Make it compile. There was so much compile fail on arm drivers that I figured I'll better not include any of the acks on v1. v3: Massive rebase because i915 has lost a lot of drmP.h includes, but not all: Through drm_crtc_helper.h > drm_modeset_helper.h -> drmP.h there was still one, which this patch largely removes. Which means rolling out lots more includes all over. This will also conflict with ongoing drmP.h cleanup by others I expect. v3: Rebase on top of atomic bochs. v4: Review from Laurent for bridge/rcar/omap/shmob/core bits: - (re)move some of the added includes, use the better include files in other places (all suggested from Laurent adopted unchanged). - sort alphabetically v5: Actually try to sort them, and while at it, sort all the ones I touch. v6: Rebase onto i915 changes. v7: Rebase once more. 2018-07-24drm/exynos: Ensure suspended runtime PM state during system suspendMarek Szyprowski1-0/+2
Add calls to pm_runtime_force_{suspend,resume} as SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS for all drivers for the real Exynos DRM hardware modules. This ensures that the resources will be released for the system PM suspend/resume cycle. Exynos DRM core already takes care of suspending the whole display pipeline before PM callbacks of the real devices are called. The devm_kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, devm_kcalloc(). This patch replaces cases of: devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b, gfp) with: devm_kcalloc(handle, a * b, gfp) as well as handling cases of: devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b * c, gfp) with: devm_kzalloc(handle, array3_size(a, b, c), gfp) as it's slightly less ugly than: devm_kcalloc(handle, array_size(a, b), c, gfp) This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like: devm_kzalloc(handle, 4 * 1024, gfp) though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion. Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were dropped, since they're redundant. Some manual whitespace fixes were needed in this patch, as Coccinelle really liked to write "=devm_kcalloc..." instead of "= devm_kcalloc...". 2018-02-20drm: exynos: Use proper macro definition for HDMI_I2S_PIN_SEL_1Sylwester Nawrocki1-2/+5
Bit field [2:0] of HDMI_I2S_PIN_SEL_1 corresponds to SDATA_0, not SDATA_2. This patch removes redefinition of HDMI_I2S_SEL_DATA2 constant and adds missing HDMI_I2S_SEL_DATA0. 2017-11-22drm/edid: Allow HDMI infoframe without VIC or S3DVille Syrjälä1-1/+2
Appedix F of HDMI 2.0 says that some HDMI sink may fail to switch from 3D to 2D mode in a timely fashion if the source simply stops sending the HDMI infoframe. The suggested workaround is to keep sending the infoframe even when strictly not necessary (ie. no VIC and no S3D). HDMI 1.4 does allow for this behaviour, stating that sending the infoframe is optional in this case. The infoframe was first specified in HDMI 1.4, so in theory sinks predating that may not appreciate us sending an uknown infoframe their way. To avoid regressions let's try to determine if the sink supports the infoframe or not. Unfortunately there's no direct way to do that, so instead we'll just check if we managed to parse any HDMI 1.4 4k or stereo modes from the EDID, and if so we assume the sink will accept the infoframe. 2017-10-26drm: exynos: Add driver for HDMI audio interfaceSylwester Nawrocki1-60/+190
The hdmi-codec interface added in this patch is required to properly support HDMI audio. Currently the audio part of the SoC internal HDMI transmitter is configured with fixed values, which makes HDMI audio working by chance, only on boards having an external audio codec connected in parallel with the HDMI audio transmitter's input I2S interface. 2017-10-26drm/exynos/hdmi: quirk for support mode timings conversionAndrzej Hajda1-2/+15
MIXER in SoCs prior to Exynos5420 supports only 4 video modes: 720x480, 720x576, 1280x720, 1920x1080. Support for other modes can be enabled by manipulating timings of HDMI. To do it adjusted_mode should contain actual mode set on crtc. With this patch it is possible to enable 1024x768 and 1280x1024 modes in MIXER. HDMI 1.4b support the CEA video modes as per range of CEA-861-D (VIC 1-64). For any other mode, the VIC filed in AVI infoframes should be 0. HDMI 2.0 sinks, support video modes range as per CEA-861-F spec, which is extended to (VIC 1-107). This patch adds a bool input variable, which indicates if the connected sink is a HDMI 2.0 sink or not. This will make sure that we don't pass a HDMI 2.0 VIC to a HDMI 1.4 sink. This patch touches all drm drivers, who are callers of this function drm_hdmi_avi_infoframe_from_display_mode but to make sure there is no change in current behavior, is_hdmi2 is kept as false. In case of I915 driver, this patch: - checks if the connected display is HDMI 2.0. - HDMI infoframes carry one of this two type of information: - VIC for 4K modes for HDMI 1.4 sinks - S3D information for S3D modes As CEA-861-F has already defined VICs for 4K videomodes, this patch doesn't allow sending HDMI infoframes for HDMI 2.0 sinks, until the mode is 3D. 2017-06-01drm/exynos/hdmi: fix pipeline disable orderAndrzej Hajda1-10/+3
Hardware require that MIXER(crtc) should be disabled prior to HDMI(encoder). It was achieved by disabling crtc from encoder disable callback, bypassing drm core. As a result drm core tried to call vblank related routines on disabled crtc. The patch fixes it by simplifying hdmi_disable routine - now it only cancels hotplug worker. The vblank hooks in struct drm_driver are deprecated and only meant for legacy drivers. For modern drivers with DRIVER_MODESET flag, the hooks in struct drm_crtc_funcs should be used instead. As the result, exynos_drm_crtc_enable[disable]_vblank() become static functions. They are moved around a bit to save forward declaration though. Also while at it, we move one step further to kill exynos_drm_crtc_from_pipe() completely by updating hdmi_bind() a bit.
