2015-10-16via_drm.h: move struct via_file_private definition to drivers/gpu/drm/via/via_drv.hMikko Rapeli1-0/+4
Fixes userspace compile error since list_head is not exported to userspace headers. Suggested by Emil Velikov <emil.l.velikov@gmail.com> at https://lkml.org/lkml/2015/6/3/792 Signed-off-by: Mikko Rapeli <mikko.rapeli@iki.fi> Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
2015-10-06drm/irq: Use unsigned int pipe in public APIThierry Reding1-3/+3
This continues the pattern started in commit cc1ef118fc09 ("drm/irq: Make pipe unsigned and name consistent"). This is applied to the public APIs and driver callbacks, so pretty much all drivers need to be updated to match the new prototypes. 2014-09-12drm: Create drm legacy driver headerDaniel Vetter1-0/+2
And move a few legayc functions to start things over there. It compiles ... Inspired by a patch from Dave Airlie, but with a split between drm.ko private legacy functions and stuff used by drivers. Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>
2013-12-18drm: Kill DRM_IRQ_ARGSDaniel Vetter1-1/+1
I've killed them a long time ago in drm/i915, let's get rid of this remnant of shared drm core days for good. Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>

2011-12-22drm/via: use drm_mm instead of drm_smanDaniel Vetter1-2/+3
To make the transition in a piece-wise and bisectable way possible, I've hijacked the ->owner_list from drm_sman. While transitioning, the list_add was done by the driver, while the list_del was still done by the dying sman code. Now that we are in full control of ->owner_list, do the list_del ourselves. v2: Better explain the list_del trickery as suggested by Chris Wilson. 2011-12-22drm/via: track user->memblock mapping with idrDaniel Vetter1-0/+2
Massive indirection through a hashtable for a simple key->pointer look-up actually just adds bloat. v2: Drop the misleading comment noted by Chris Wilson. Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>

2008-10-18drm: Rework vblank-wait handling to allow interrupt reduction.Jesse Barnes1-6/+10
Previously, drivers supporting vblank interrupt waits would run the interrupt all the time, or all the time that any 3d client was running, preventing the CPU from sleeping for long when the system was otherwise idle. Now, interrupts are disabled any time that no client is waiting on a vblank event. The new method uses vblank counters on the chipsets when the interrupts are turned off, rather than counting interrupts, so that we can continue to present accurate vblank numbers. 2008-07-14drm: reorganise drm tree to be more future proof.Dave Airlie1-0/+153
With the coming of kernel based modesetting and the memory manager stuff, the everything in one directory approach was getting very ugly and starting to be unmanageable. This restructures the drm along the lines of other kernel components. It creates a drivers/gpu/drm directory and moves the hw drivers into subdirectores. It moves the includes into an include/drm, and sets up the unifdef for the userspace headers we should be exporting. Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
