2014-06-03mfd: syscon: Allow property as NULL in syscon_regmap_lookup_by_phandlePankaj Dubey1-1/+5
If we pass syscon device node itself as first parameter to this function there is no need to parse and find syscon device node. So by allowing "property" parameter as NULL allow syscon_regmap_lookup_by_phandle to consider passed argument "np" itself as a syscon device node "syscon_np". This will help us in avoiding addition of "syscon" property in a device node which points back to same device node in device tree. 2014-05-15mfd: syscon: Add platform data with a regmap config namePawel Moll1-0/+4
Define syscon platform data structure that can be used to define a regmap config name. This is particularly useful in the regmap debugfs when there is more than one syscon device registered, to distinguish the register blocks. 2014-03-19mfd: syscon: Simplify syscon_match_pdevname()Alexander Shiyan1-7/+0
Since we do not want to add new platform IDs for the syscon driver, there is no reason to iterate over IDs. This patch simplifies syscon_match_pdevname() function to remove such iteration. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>

2013-09-07Merge tag 'mfd-3.12-1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/sameo/mfd-nextLinus Torvalds1-4/+4
Pull MFD (multi-function device) updates from Samuel Ortiz: "For the 3.12 merge window we have one new driver for the DA9063 PMIC from Dialog Semiconductor. Besides that driver we also have: - Device tree support for the s2mps11 driver - More devm_* conversion for the pm8921, max89xx, menelaus, tps65010, wl1273 and pcf50633-adc drivers. - A conversion to threaded IRQ and IRQ domain for the twl6030 driver. - A fairly big update for the rtsx driver: Better power saving support, better vendor settings handling, and a few fixes. - Support for a couple more boards (COMe-bHL6 and COMe-cTH6) for the Kontron driver. - A conversion to the dev_get_platdata() API for all MFD drivers. - A removal of non-DT (legacy) support for the twl6040 driver. - A few fixes and additions (Mic detect level) to the wm5110 register tables. - Regmap support for the davinci_voicecodec driver. - The usual bunch of minor cleanups and janitorial fixes" * tag 'mfd-3.12-1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/sameo/mfd-next: (81 commits) mfd: ucb1x00-core: Rewrite ucb1x00_add_dev() mfd: ab8500-debugfs: Apply a check for -ENOMEM after allocating memory for event name mfd: ab8500-debugfs: Apply a check for -ENOMEM after allocating memory for sysfs mfd: timberdale: Use module_pci_driver mfd: timberdale: Remove redundant break mfd: timberdale: Staticize local variables mfd: ab8500-debugfs: Staticize local variables mfd: db8500-prcmu: Staticize clk_mgt mfd: db8500-prcmu: Use ANSI function declaration mfd: omap-usb-host: Staticize usbhs_driver_name mfd: 88pm805: Fix potential NULL pdata dereference mfd: 88pm800: Fix potential NULL pdata dereference mfd: twl6040: Use regmap for register cache mfd: davinci_voicecodec: Provide a regmap for register I/O mfd: davinci_voicecodec: Remove unused read and write functions mmc: memstick: rtsx: Modify copyright comments mmc: rtsx: Clear SD_CLK toggle enable bit if switching voltage fail mfd: mmc: rtsx: Change default tx phase mfd: pcf50633-adc: Use devm_*() functions mfd: rtsx: Copyright modifications ...
2013-08-13ARM: clps711x: Remove the special name for the syscon driverAlexander Shiyan1-3/+0
This is a partial revert of the patch: "6597619f9c ARM: clps711x: Add support for SYSCON driver". No reason to make SYSCON driver name unique to that processor. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>
2013-07-31mfd: syscon: Remove "base" field from private driver dataAlexander Shiyan1-4/+4
During a move to use managed resources, the .remove function all was deemed superfluous which subsequently led to its deletion. As there are no remaining users of the stored 'base' address we only have to use it locally during probe. 2013-06-11ARM: clps711x: Add support for SYSCON driverAlexander Shiyan1-0/+3
This patch adds support for SYSCON driver for CLPS711X targets. At this time there are no users for this driver, but it is will be used as start point to use in CLPS711X drivers and remove <mach/xx> dependencies. 2013-04-05mfd: syscon: Add non-DT supportAlexander Shiyan1-30/+45
This patch allow using syscon driver from the platform data, i.e. possibility using driver on systems without oftree support. For search syscon device from the client drivers, "syscon_regmap_lookup_by_pdevname" function was added. 2012-09-17mfd: Add syscon driver based on regmapDong Aisheng1-0/+176
Add regmap based syscon driver. This is usually used for access misc bits in registers which does not belong to a specific module, for example, IMX IOMUXC GPR and ANATOP. With this driver, client can use generic regmap API to access registers which are registered into syscon.
