2019-03-18mmc: davinci: remove extraneous __init annotationArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
Building with clang finds a mistaken __init tag: WARNING: vmlinux.o(.text+0x5e4250): Section mismatch in reference from the function davinci_mmcsd_probe() to the function .init.text:init_mmcsd_host() The function davinci_mmcsd_probe() references the function __init init_mmcsd_host(). This is often because davinci_mmcsd_probe lacks a __init annotation or the annotation of init_mmcsd_host is wrong. 2019-02-25mmc: slot-gpio: Remove override_active_level on WPLinus Walleij1-1/+1
The argument "override_active_level" made it possible to enforce a specific polarity on the write-protect GPIO line. All callers in the kernel pass "false" to this call after I have converted all drivers to use GPIO machine descriptors, so remove the argument and clean out this. This kind of polarity inversion should be handled by the GPIO descriptor inside the GPIO library if needed. This rids us of one instance of the kludgy calls into the gpiod_get_raw_value() API. 2018-01-22mmc: davinci: dont' use module_platform_driver_probe()David Lechner1-6/+6
This changes module_platform_driver_probe() to module_platform_driver() in the TI DaVinci MMC driver. On device tree systems, we can get a -EPROBE_DEFER when using a pinmux for the CD GPIO, which results in the driver never loading because module_platform_driver_probe() prevents it from being re-probed. So, we replace module_platform_driver_probe() with module_platform_driver() and removed the __init attributes accordingly. 2016-11-29mmc: davinci: request gpios using gpio descriptorsahaslam@baylibre.com1-1/+12
Request card detect and write protect gpios using the provided API by mmc core. If a gpio is provided for card detect, we don't need to poll. So only use polling when a gpio is not provided. Once all pdata users register the gpios using gpio descriptors, we could remove the platform callbacks. 2016-11-29mmc: davinci: use mmc_of_parse to parse common mmc configurationahaslam@baylibre.com1-64/+55
Card detect and write protect are currently not working on a DT boot, and the driver relies on polling to get the state of the card. The current code depends on platform data callbacks to register and get the state of the gpios. mmc core provides a generic way to parse device tree configuration, which will take care of registering the gpios for us, lets use it so that we don't need to poll, and parse the same properties. 2010-05-27davinci: mmc: pass number of SG segments as platform dataSudhakar Rajashekhara1-7/+17
On some platforms like DM355, the number of EDMA parameter slots available for EDMA_SLOT_ANY usage are few. In such cases, if MMC/SD uses 16 slots for each instance of MMC controller, then the number of slots available for other modules will be very few. By passing the number of EDMA slots to be used in MMC driver from platform data, EDMA slots available for other purposes can be controlled. Most of the platforms will not use this platform data variable. But on DM355, as the number of EDMA resources available is limited, the number of scatter- gather segments used inside the MMC driver can be 8 (passed as platform data) instead of 16. On DM355, when the number of scatter-gather segments was reduced to 8, I saw a performance difference of about 0.25-0.4 Mbytes/sec during write. Read performance variations were negligible. 2010-03-06davinci: MMC: add support for 8bit MMC cardsVipin Bhandari1-10/+35
Add support for 8bit MMC cards. The controller data width is configurable depending on the wires setting in the platform data structure. MMC 8bit is tested on OMAPL137 and MMC 4bit is tested on OMAPL138 EVM. 2009-12-15mmc: davinci: modify data types of EDMA related variablesSudhakar Rajashekhara1-2/+2
Currently DaVinci EDMA driver supports multiple EDMA channel controller instances. edma_alloc_channel() api returns a 32 bit value which has the channel controller number in MSB and the EDMA channel number in LSB. The variables which store the value returned by edma_alloc_channel() have to be 32 bit wide now.
