2017-11-06mtd: constify mtd_partitionArvind Yadav1-1/+1
mtd_partition are not supposed to change at runtime. Functions 'mtd_device_parse_register' working with const mtd_partition provided by <linux/mtd/mtd.h>. So mark the non-const structs as const. 2013-08-30mtd: impa7: add missing __iomem annotationJingoo Han1-5/+5
Added missing __iomem annotation and used NULL instead of 0 in order to fix the following sparse warnings: drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c:82:32: warning: Using plain integer as NULL pointer drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c:96:34: warning: cast removes address space of expression drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c:96:34: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different address spaces) drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c:96:34: expected void volatile [noderef] <asn:2>*addr drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c:96:34: got void *<noident> drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c:108:34: warning: cast removes address space of expression drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c:108:34: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different address spaces) drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c:108:34: expected void volatile [noderef] <asn:2>*addr drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c:108:34: got void *<noident> drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c:109:45: warning: Using plain integer as NULL pointer Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>
2013-04-05mtd: maps: add const qualifiersArtem Bityutskiy1-5/+2
Be a bit stricter and add few more 'const' qualifiers. Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>
2012-03-27mtd: do not use plain 0 as NULLArtem Bityutskiy1-1/+1
The first 3 arguments of 'mtd_device_parse_register()' are pointers, but many callers pass '0' instead of 'NULL'. Fix this globally. Thanks to coccinelle for making it easy to do with the following semantic patch: @@ expression mtd, types, parser_data, parts, nr_parts; @@ ( -mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, 0, parser_data, parts, nr_parts) +mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, NULL, parser_data, parts, nr_parts) | -mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, 0, parts, nr_parts) +mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, NULL, parts, nr_parts) | -mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, parser_data, 0, nr_parts) +mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, parser_data, NULL, nr_parts) ) Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>
2011-09-11mtd: impa7.c: use mtd_device_parse_registerDmitry Eremin-Solenikov1-23/+4
Replace custom invocations of parse_mtd_partitions and mtd_device_register with common mtd_device_parse_register call. This would bring: standard handling of all errors, fallback to default partitions, etc. Artem: rename static_partitions to make lines shorter and align the way this driver prefers. 2011-09-11mtd: impa7 don't specify default parsing optionsDmitry Eremin-Solenikov1-2/+1
Since 'cmdline, NULL' is now a default for parse_mtd_partitions, don't specify this in every driver, instead pass NULL to force parse_mtd_partitions to use default. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <Artem.Bityutskiy@nokia.com>
2011-05-25mtd: impa7: convert to mtd_device_register()Jamie Iles1-19/+3
Convert to mtd_device_register() and remove the CONFIG_MTD_PARTITIONS preprocessor conditionals as partitioning is always available. 2008-12-10[MTD] Make init_impa7 staticDmitri Vorobiev1-1/+1
The function init_impa7 does not need to be global, and this patch makes it static by adding the needed keyword to drivers/mtd/maps/impa7.c. Signed-off-by: Dmitri Vorobiev <dmitri.vorobiev@movial.fi> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>
2008-06-04MTD/JFFS2: remove CVS keywordsAdrian Bunk1-2/+0
Once upon a time, the MTD repository was using CVS. This patch therefore removes all usages of the no longer updated CVS keywords from the MTD code. This also includes code that printed them to the user. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <dwmw2@infradead.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
