2016-04-26atl1c: remove private tx lockFlorian Westphal1-2/+1
AFAICS this is safe: the lock is only used in the .ndo_start_xmit function and this driver does not set LLTX. Gets rid of TX_LOCKED return value, followup patches will remove it. 2014-01-16drivers/net: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker1-1/+0
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. This covers everything under drivers/net except for wireless, which has been submitted separately. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2013-09-24atheros: Remove extern from function prototypesJoe Perches1-3/+3
There are a mix of function prototypes with and without extern in the kernel sources. Standardize on not using extern for function prototypes. Function prototypes don't need to be written with extern. extern is assumed by the compiler. Its use is as unnecessary as using auto to declare automatic/local variables in a block. [PATCH] atl1c: use custom skb allocator We had reports ( https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54021 ) that using high order pages for skb allocations is problematic for atl1c We do not know exactly what the problem is, but we suspect that crossing 4K pages is not well supported by this hardware. Use a custom allocator, using page allocator and 2K fragments for optimal stack behavior. We might make this allocator generic in future kernels. 2012-04-30atl1c: add PHY link event(up/down) patchHuang, Xiong1-0/+1
On some platforms the PHY settings need to change depending on the cable link status to get better stability. Signed-off-by: xiong <xiong@qca.qualcomm.com> Tested-by: Liu David <dwliu@qca.qualcomm.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-04-19atl1c: remove dmar_dly_cnt and dmaw_dly_cntHuang, Xiong1-2/+0
dmar_dly_cnt and dmaw_dly_cnt aren't used by hardware/driver any more. Signed-off-by: xiong <xiong@qca.qualcomm.com> Tested-by: Liu David <dwliu@qca.qualcomm.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-04-19atl1c: update right threshold for TSOHuang, Xiong1-2/+0
atl1c_configure_tx used a wrong value of MAX_TX_OFFLOAD_THRESH(9KB) for TSO threshold. the right value should be 7KB Fast Ethernet controller doesn't support Jumbo frame. Signed-off-by: xiong <xiong@qca.qualcomm.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-04-18atl1c: remove dmaw_blockHuang, Xiong1-1/+0

2012-04-18atl1c: split 2 32bit registers of TPD to 4 16bit registersHuang, Xiong1-2/+8
TPD producer/consumer index is 16bit wide. 16bit read/write reduce the dependency of the 2 tpd rings (hi and lo) rename reg(157C/1580) to keep name coninsistency. 2012-04-18atl1c: remove SMB/CMB DMA related codeHuang, Xiong1-18/+1
l1c & later chips don't support DMA for SMB. CMB is removed from hardware. reg(15C8) is used to trig interrupt by tpd threshold. Signed-off-by: xiong <xiong@qca.qualcomm.com> Tested-by: Liu David <dwliu@qca.qualcomm.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-04-18atl1c: remove VPD registerHuang, Xiong1-1/+1
VPD register is only used for L1(devid=PCI_DEVICE_ID_ATTANSIC_L1) to access external NV-memory. l1c & later chip doesn't use it any more. PHY 0/1 registers occupy the last 2 slots of the dump table.
