2019-05-05net: ucc_geth - fix Oops when changing number of buffers in the ringChristophe Leroy1-5/+3
When changing the number of buffers in the RX ring while the interface is running, the following Oops is encountered due to the new number of buffers being taken into account immediately while their allocation is done when opening the device only. This was entirely automated, using the script by Al: PATT='^[[:blank:]]*#[[:blank:]]*include[[:blank:]]*<asm/uaccess.h>' sed -i -e "s!$PATT!#include <linux/uaccess.h>!" \ $(git grep -l "$PATT"|grep -v ^include/linux/uaccess.h) to do the replacement at the end of the merge window. 2015-10-16drivers/net: get rid of unnecessary initializations in .get_drvinfo()Ivan Vecera1-2/+0
Many drivers initialize uselessly n_priv_flags, n_stats, testinfo_len, eedump_len & regdump_len fields in their .get_drvinfo() ethtool op. It's not necessary as these fields is filled in ethtool_get_drvinfo(). v2: removed unused variable v3: removed another unused variable Signed-off-by: Ivan Vecera <ivecera@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2014-05-13net: get rid of SET_ETHTOOL_OPSWilfried Klaebe1-1/+1
net: get rid of SET_ETHTOOL_OPS Dave Miller mentioned he'd like to see SET_ETHTOOL_OPS gone. This does that. Mostly done via coccinelle script: @@ struct ethtool_ops *ops; struct net_device *dev; @@ - SET_ETHTOOL_OPS(dev, ops); + dev->ethtool_ops = ops; Compile tested only, but I'd seriously wonder if this broke anything. 2014-01-16drivers/net: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker1-1/+0
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. This covers everything under drivers/net except for wireless, which has been submitted separately. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: David S.
