2019-01-30net: hns3: only support tc 0 for VFYunsheng Lin1-6/+16
When the VF shares the same TC config as PF, the business running on PF and VF must have samiliar module. For simplicity, we are not considering VF sharing the same tc configuration as PF use case, so this patch removes the support of TC configuration from VF and forcing VF to just use single TC. 2019-01-23net: hns3: fix PFC not setting problem for DCB moduleYunsheng Lin1-1/+1
The PFC enabling is based on user priority, currently it is based on TC, which may cause PFC not setting correctly when pri to TC mapping is not one to one relation. This patch adds pfc_en in tm_info to fix it. 2019-01-18net: hns3: fix user configuration loss for ethtool -LHuazhong Tan1-5/+35
Ethtool -L option with the combined parameter is for changing the number of multi-purpose channels of the specified network device. Under the current scheme, the user configuration information will be lost after the reset or TC information changed. This patch fixes this issue. By default, this configuration is set to the minimum between the number of queues for each enabled TCs and the maximum number support available in the hardware. When there is a user configuration, regardless of the reset or TC information change, it should keep the user's configuration while it is under the hardware limits, otherwise set to the maximum number support available in the hardware. 2018-11-19net: hns3: add common validation in hclge_dcbYunsheng Lin1-12/+2
Before setting tm related configuration to hardware, driver needs to check the configuration provided by user is valid. Currently hclge_ieee_setets and hclge_setup_tc both implement their own checking, which has a lot in common. This patch addes hclge_dcb_common_validate to do the common checking. The checking in hclge_tm_prio_tc_info_update and hclge_tm_schd_info_update is unnecessary now, so change the return type to void, which removes the need to do error handling when one of the checking fails. Also, ets->prio_tc is indexed by user prio and ets->tc_tsa is indexed by tc num, so this patch changes them to use different index. 2018-09-19net: hns3: Fix parameter type for q_id in hclge_tm_q_to_qs_map_cfg()Jian Shen1-1/+1
So far all the places calling hclge_tm_q_to_qs_map_cfg() are assigning an u16 type value to "q_id", and in the processing of hclge_tm_q_to_qs_map_cfg(), it also converts the "q_id" to le16. The max tqp number for pf can be more than 256, we should use "u16" to store the queue id, instead of "u8", which may cause data lost. 2018-05-01net: hns3: Remove error log when getting pfc stats failsYunsheng Lin1-4/+1
When mac supports DCB, but is in GE mode, it does not support querying pfc stats, firmware returns error when trying to query the pfc stats. this creates a lot of noise in the kernel log when it prints the error log. This patch fixes it by removing the error log, because it already return the error to the user space, so the user should be aware of the error. Pause parameters include source address, transmit gap and pause time. The default value of the pause source address is zero in the hardware. Default pause parameters need to be set to the hardware. Burstiness of a flow is determined by the depth of a bucket, When the upper rate of shaper is large, the current depth of a bucket is not enough. The default upper rate of shaper is 100G, so increase the depth of a bucket according to UM. 2017-09-20net: hns3: Fix for setting rss_size incorrectlyYunsheng Lin1-0/+1
rss_size is 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, but acutal tc queue size can be any u16 less than 128. If tc queue size is 5, we set the rss_size to 8, indirection table will be used to limit the size of actual queue size. It may cause dropping of receiving packet in hardware if rss_size is not set correctly. For now, each TC has the same rss size. 2017-09-20net: hns3: Fix initialization when cmd is not supportedYunsheng Lin1-0/+4
When ae_dev doesn't support DCB, rx_priv_wl_config, common_thrd_config and tm_qs_bp_cfg can't be called, otherwise cmd return fail, which causes the hclge module initialization process to fail. 2017-08-03net: hns3: Add support of TX Scheduler & Shaper to HNS3 driverSalil1-0/+1015
THis patch adds the support of the Scheduling and Shaping functionalities during the transmit leg. This also adds the support of Pause at MAC level. (Pause at per-priority level shall be added later along with the DCB feature). Hardware as such consists of two types of cofiguration of 6 level schedulers. Algorithms varies according to the level and type of scheduler being used. Current patch is used to initialize the mapping, algorithms(like SP, DWRR etc) and shaper(CIR, PIR etc) being used.
