2018-04-27net: intel: Cleanup the copyright/license headersJeff Kirsher1-25/+1
After many years of having a ~30 line copyright and license header to our source files, we are finally able to reduce that to one line with the advent of the SPDX identifier. Also caught a few files missing the SPDX license identifier, so fixed them up. 2018-03-23intel: add SPDX identifiers to all the Intel driversJeff Kirsher1-0/+1
Add the SPDX identifiers to all the Intel wired LAN driver files, as outlined in Documentation/process/license-rules.rst. Signed-off-by: Jeff Kirsher <jeffrey.t.kirsher@intel.com> Tested-by: Aaron Brown <aaron.f.brown@intel.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-03-27i40e: Drop FCoE code from core driver filesAlexander Duyck1-3/+0
Looking over the code for FCoE it looks like the Rx path has been broken at least since the last major Rx refactor almost a year ago. It seems like FCoE isn't supported for any of the Fortville/Fortpark hardware so there isn't much point in carrying the code around, especially if it is broken and untested. 2017-02-11i40e: Add bus number info to i40e_bus_info structSudheer Mogilappagari1-6/+6
Currently i40e_bus_info has PCI device and function info only and log messages print device number as bus number. Added field to provide bus number info and modified log statements to print bus, device and function information. 2017-02-02i40e: remove unnecessary __packedTushar Dave1-2/+2
'struct i40e_dma_mem' defined with 'packed' directive causing kernel unaligned errors on sparc. e.g. i40e: Intel(R) Ethernet Connection XL710 Network Driver - version 1.6.16-k i40e: Copyright (c) 2013 - 2014 Intel Corporation. Kernel unaligned access at TPC[44894c] dma_4v_alloc_coherent+0x1ac/0x300 Kernel unaligned access at TPC[44894c] dma_4v_alloc_coherent+0x1ac/0x300 Kernel unaligned access at TPC[44894c] dma_4v_alloc_coherent+0x1ac/0x300 Kernel unaligned access at TPC[44894c] dma_4v_alloc_coherent+0x1ac/0x300 Kernel unaligned access at TPC[44894c] dma_4v_alloc_coherent+0x1ac/0x300 i40e 0000:03:00.0: fw 5.1.40981 api 1.5 nvm 5.04 0x80002548 0.0.0 This can be fixed with get_unaligned/put_unaligned(). However no reference in driver shows that 'struct i40e_dma_mem' directly shoved into NIC hardware. But instead fields of the struct are being read and used for hardware. Therefore, __packed is unnecessary for 'struct i40e_dma_mem'. In addition, although 'struct i40e_virt_mem' doesn't cause any unaligned access, keeping it packed is unnecessary as well because of aforementioned reason. This change make 'struct i40e_dma_mem' and 'struct i40e_virt_mem' unpacked. 2015-01-14i40e: adds FCoE configure optionVasu Dev1-2/+2
Adds FCoE config option I40E_FCOE, so that FCoE can be enabled as needed but otherwise have it disabled by default. This also eliminate multiple FCoE config checks, instead now just one config check for CONFIG_I40E_FCOE. The I40E FCoE was added with 3.17 kernel and therefore this patch shall be applied to stable 3.17 kernel also. 2014-08-02i40e: Adds FCoE related code to i40e core driverVasu Dev1-0/+3
Adds FCoE specific code to existing i40e core driver to:- 1. have separate FCoE VSI with additional FCoE queues pairs. 2. have FCoE related hash defines. 3. have additional FCoE related stats code. 4. export and then re-use existing functions required by FCoE build. 2014-01-09i40e: Fix GPL headerGreg Rose1-4/+3
