2018-11-07qlcnic: remove assumption that vlan_tci != 0Michał Mirosław1-3/+5
VLAN.TCI == 0 is perfectly valid (802.1p), so allow it to be accelerated. Signed-off-by: Michał Mirosław <mirq-linux@rere.qmqm.pl> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2018-09-29qlcnic: fix Tx descriptor corruption on 82xx devicesShahed Shaikh1-6/+6
In regular NIC transmission flow, driver always configures MAC using Tx queue zero descriptor as a part of MAC learning flow. But with multi Tx queue supported NIC, regular transmission can occur on any non-zero Tx queue and from that context it uses Tx queue zero descriptor to configure MAC, at the same time TX queue zero could be used by another CPU for regular transmission which could lead to Tx queue zero descriptor corruption and cause FW abort. This patch fixes this in such a way that driver always configures learned MAC address from the same Tx queue which is used for regular transmission. Fixes: 7e2cf4feba05 ("qlcnic: change driver hardware interface mechanism") Signed-off-by: Shahed Shaikh <shahed.shaikh@cavium.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-01-30drivers: net: generalize napi_complete_done()Eric Dumazet1-5/+5
napi_complete_done() allows to opt-in for gro_flush_timeout, added back in linux-3.19, commit 3b47d30396ba ("net: gro: add a per device gro flush timer") This allows for more efficient GRO aggregation without sacrifying latencies. 2016-08-03qlcnic: fix napi budget alterationManish Chopra1-2/+0
Driver modifies the supplied NAPI budget in qlcnic_83xx_msix_tx_poll() function. Instead, it should use the budget as it is. Signed-off-by: Manish Chopra <manish.chopra@qlogic.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2016-06-29qlcnic: use the correct ring in qlcnic_83xx_process_rcv_ring_diag()Dan Carpenter1-1/+1
There is a static checker warning here "warn: mask and shift to zero" and the code sets "ring" to zero every time. From looking at how QLCNIC_FETCH_RING_ID() is used in qlcnic_83xx_process_rcv_ring() the qlcnic_83xx_hndl() should be removed. 2015-11-18net: add netif_tx_napi_add()Eric Dumazet1-2/+2
netif_tx_napi_add() is a variant of netif_napi_add() It should be used by drivers that use a napi structure to exclusively poll TX. We do not want to add this kind of napi in napi_hash[] in following patches, adding generic busy polling to all NAPI drivers. Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <edumazet@google.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2015-02-05Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/netDavid S. Miller1-3/+24
Conflicts: drivers/net/vxlan.c drivers/vhost/net.c include/linux/if_vlan.h net/core/dev.c The net/core/dev.c conflict was the overlap of one commit marking an existing function static whilst another was adding a new function. In the include/linux/if_vlan.h case, the type used for a local variable was changed in 'net', whereas the function got rewritten to fix a stacked vlan bug in 'net-next'. In drivers/vhost/net.c, Al Viro's iov_iter conversions in 'net-next' overlapped with an endainness fix for VHOST 1.0 in 'net'. In drivers/net/vxlan.c, vxlan_find_vni() added a 'flags' parameter in 'net-next' whereas in 'net' there was a bug fix to pass in the correct network namespace pointer in calls to this function. 2013-09-05qlcnic: use standard NAPI weightsMichal Schmidt1-18/+12
Since commit 82dc3c63 ("net: introduce NAPI_POLL_WEIGHT") netif_napi_add() produces an error message if a NAPI poll weight greater than 64 is requested. qlcnic requests the weight as large as 256 for some of its rings, and smaller values for other rings. For instance in qlcnic_82xx_napi_add() I think the intention was to give the tx+rx ring a bigger weight than to rx-only rings, but it's actually doing the opposite. So I'm assuming the weights do not really matter much. Just use the standard NAPI weights for all rings.
