Huqiu reported current sh_irda driver doesn't call free_irq() in spite of using request_irq(). 2013-05-27net: irda: remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han1-1/+0
The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure, since commit 0998d0631001288a5974afc0b2a5f568bcdecb4d (device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound). Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. 2012-10-07drivers/net/irda/sh_irda.c: fix error return codePeter Senna Tschudin1-2/+2
The function sh_irda_probe() return 0 for success and negative value for most of its internal tests failures. There is one exception that is error case going to err_mem_4:. For this error case, the function abort its success execution path, but returns non negative value, making it difficult for a caller function to notice the error. This patch fixes the error case that do not return negative value. This was found by Coccinelle, but the code change was made by hand. This patch is not robot generated.
