2015-02-03mwifiex: fix NULL packet downloading issuesAmitkumar Karwar1-2/+7
This patch makes sure that skb is freed after downloading NULL packet in error cases. Also, USB chipsets return -EINPROGRESS after downloading packets, they are freed in USB completion handler later. We will add missing change to set tx_lock_flag for USB which blocks further packets. ACK status (0/1) for ACTION frames is informed to cfg80211. We will extend existing logic used for EAPOL frames. The cfg80211 API is different here. Also, we need to explicitly free cloned skb. 2014-05-16mwifiex: set valid tx_param during mwifiex_send_null_packetAvinash Patil1-1/+3
While sending null packet from driver we are passing NULL tx_param pointer to indicate there are no more packets in queue. PCIe send routine assumes caller has done sanity check on tx_param and may cause crash while dereferencing next_pkt_len from tx_param. Avoid this by passing tx_param structure with next_pkt_len as zero instead of NULL pointer. Current implementation, for retrieving priv from adapter, uses bss_index. In multi interface environment supporting different types, bss_index may not be unique. Use bss_type along with bss_num to retrieve the priv. bss_index is removed with this change. 2011-07-08mwifiex: 4-byte alignment in mwifiex_process_sta_txpd()Yogesh Ashok Powar1-4/+9
In XMIT path, the skb that we get from the kernel itself is not aligned with 4-byte boundary on some embedded platforms. Had it not been the presence of tx_pkt_offset field in txpd, 4 byte memory alignment was not possible without memmove of entire skb. And that would have increased MIPS instead of reducing. With this patch few memory cycles can be saved while fetching interface header and txpd structure because of 4 bytes memory alignment.
