2011-08-08cfg80211: split wext compatibility to separate headerJohannes Berg1-0/+1
A lot of drivers erroneously use wext constants and don't notice since cfg80211.h includes them. Make this more split up so drivers needing wext compatibility from cfg80211 need to explicitly include that from cfg80211-wext.h. 2010-12-08orinoco: fix TKIP countermeasure behaviourDavid Kilroy1-2/+2
Enable the port when disabling countermeasures, and disable it on enabling countermeasures. This bug causes the response of the system to certain attacks to be ineffective. It also prevents wpa_supplicant from getting scan results, as wpa_supplicant disables countermeasures on startup - preventing the hardware from scanning. wpa_supplicant works with ap_mode=2 despite this bug because the commit handler re-enables the port. The log tends to look like: State: DISCONNECTED -> SCANNING Starting AP scan for wildcard SSID Scan requested (ret=0) - scan timeout 5 seconds EAPOL: disable timer tick EAPOL: Supplicant port status: Unauthorized Scan timeout - try to get results Failed to get scan results Failed to get scan results - try scanning again Setting scan request: 1 sec 0 usec Starting AP scan for wildcard SSID Scan requested (ret=-1) - scan timeout 5 seconds Failed to initiate AP scan. 2010-12-08orinoco: clear countermeasure setting on commitDavid Kilroy1-0/+6
... and interface up. In these situations, you are usually trying to connect to a new AP, so keeping TKIP countermeasures active is confusing. This is already how the driver behaves (inadvertently). However, querying SIOCGIWAUTH may tell userspace that countermeasures are active when they aren't. Clear the setting so that the reporting matches what the driver has done.. 2010-12-08orinoco: initialise priv->hw before assigning the interruptDavid Kilroy2-14/+14
The interrupt handler takes a lock - but since commit bcad6e80f3f this lock goes through an indirection specified in the hermes_t structure. We must therefore initialise the structure before setting up the interrupt handler. Fix orinoco_cs and spectrum_cs <https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23932> Bisected by: Matt Domsch <Matt_Domsch@dell.com> Signed-off by: David Kilroy <kilroyd@googlemail.com> Cc: stable@kernel.org Signed-off-by: John W. 2010-12-07orinoco: allow IW_AUTH_MFP to pass throughDavid Kilroy1-0/+8
The card doesn't support MFP, so silently accept DISABLED and OPTIONAL settings. This avoids the following failure in wpa_supplicant logs: State: SCANNING -> ASSOCIATING wpa_driver_wext_set_operstate: operstate 0->0 (DORMANT) netlink: Operstate: linkmode=-1, operstate=5 wpa_driver_wext_associate wpa_driver_wext_set_drop_unencrypted wpa_driver_wext_set_psk wpa_driver_wext_associate: assoc failed because set_auth_param(IW_AUTH_MFP) failed Association request to the driver failed Signed-off by: David Kilroy <kilroyd@googlemail.com> Reported by: Giacomo Comes <comes@naic.edu> Signed-off-by: John W. 2010-09-29pcmcia: remove obsolete and wrong commentsDominik Brodowski2-88/+0
What's worse than no comment? A wrong comment. Several PCMCIA device drivers contained the same comments, which were based on how the PCMCIA subsystem worked in the old days of 2.4., and which were originally part of a "dummy_cs" driver. These comments no longer matched at all what is happening now, and therefore should be removed. 2010-09-29pcmcia: use autoconfiguration feature for ioports and iomemDominik Brodowski2-75/+11
When CONF_AUTO_SET_IO or CONF_AUTO_SET_IOMEM are set, the corresponding fields in struct pcmcia_device *p_dev->resource[0,1,2] are set accordinly. Drivers wishing to override certain settings may do so in the callback function, but they no longer need to parse the CIS entries stored in cistpl_cftable_entry_t themselves. 2010-09-29pcmcia: introduce autoconfiguration featureDominik Brodowski2-49/+6
Introduce an autoconfiguration feature to set certain values in pcmcia_loop_config(), instead of copying the same code over and over in each PCMCIA driver. At first, introduce the following options: CONF_AUTO_CHECK_VCC check or matching Vcc entry CONF_AUTO_SET_VPP set Vpp CONF_AUTO_AUDIO enable the speaker line CC: netdev@vger.kernel.org CC: linux-wireless@vger.kernel.org CC: linux-ide@vger.kernel.org CC: linux-usb@vger.kernel.org CC: laforge@gnumonks.org CC: linux-mtd@lists.infradead.org CC: alsa-devel@alsa-project.org CC: linux-serial@vger.kernel.org CC: Jiri Kosina <jkosina@suse.cz> CC: linux-scsi@vger.kernel.org Acked-by: Gustavo F. 2010-09-29pcmcia: convert pcmcia_request_configuration to pcmcia_enable_deviceDominik Brodowski2-20/+4
pcmcia_enable_device() now replaces pcmcia_request_configuration(). Instead of config_req_t, all necessary flags are either passed as a parameter to pcmcia_enable_device(), or (in rare circumstances) set in struct pcmcia_device -> flags. With the last remaining user of include/pcmcia/cs.h gone, remove all references. 2010-09-29pcmcia: simplify IntTypeDominik Brodowski2-2/+0
IntType was only set to INT_MEMORY (driver pcmciamtd) or INT_MEMORY_AND_IO (all other drivers). As this flags seems to relate to ioport access, make it conditional to the driver having requested IO port access. There are two drivers which do not request IO ports, but did set INT_MEMORY_AND_IO: ray_cs and b43. For those, we consistently only set INT_MEMORY in future. 2010-09-29pcmcia: move Vpp setup to struct pcmcia_deviceDominik Brodowski2-4/+4

2010-06-02drivers/net/wireless/orinoco: Use kmemdupJulia Lawall1-3/+1
Use kmemdup when some other buffer is immediately copied into the allocated region. A simplified version of the semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression from,to,size,flag; statement S; @@ - to = \(kmalloc\|kzalloc\)(size,flag); + to = kmemdup(from,size,flag); if (to==NULL || ...) S - memcpy(to, from, size); // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
2010-06-02drivers/net/wireless/orinoco: Use kzallocJulia Lawall1-3/+1
Use kzalloc rather than the combination of kmalloc and memset. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression x,size,flags; statement S; @@ -x = kmalloc(size,flags); +x = kzalloc(size,flags); if (x == NULL) S -memset(x, 0, size); // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: John W. 2010-06-02powerpc/macio: Fix probing of macio devices by using the right of match tableBenjamin Herrenschmidt1-2/+5
Grant patches added an of mach table to struct device_driver. However, while he changed the macio device code to use that, he left the match table pointer in struct macio_driver and didn't update drivers to use the "new" one, thus breaking the probing. This completes the change by moving all drivers to setup the "new" one, removing all traces of the old one, and while at it (since it changes the exact same locations), I also remove two other duplicates from struct driver which are the name and owner fields.
