Switch to using an unsigned long as ID passed for the regulator to get rid of the warning. 2013-04-26regulator: ab3100: Fix regulator register error handlingAxel Lin1-14/+19
Ensure to unregister all regulators before return error in probe(). The regulator register order depends on the regulator ID pass to ab3100_regulator_register() function. Thus we need to scan ab3100_regulator_desc and find the index of successfully registered regulators, or alternatively just call ab3100_regulators_remove() to unregister all registered regulators. Since current code uses a static ab3100_regulators table, explicitly set reg->rdev = NULL after regulator_unregister() call to ensure calling ab3100_regulators_remove() in the unwind path always work. This implements device tree support for the AB3100 regulators driver. The initial settings are moved out of platform data and into the driver for the device tree case, as it appears that there is no way to supply this as AUXDATA for an I2C device. The style and bindings are heavily inspired by Lee Jones' style for AB8500. regulator_map_voltage_iterate() is for drivers implementing set_voltage_sel() and list_voltage() to use it as their map_voltage() operation. In this case, regulator_map_voltage_iterate() happen to be doing the same thing as ab3100_get_best_voltage_index() function. So we can use it to replace ab3100_get_best_voltage_index() function. 2012-04-23regulator: Remove unneeded include of linux/delay.h from regulator driversAxel Lin1-1/+0
All the drivers that need delay for the regulator voltage output voltage to stabilize after being enabled or after being set to a new value has been converted to implement enable_time and set_voltage_time_sel callbacks. Then regulator core will take care of the necessary delay. For the drivers that don't need the delay, don't need to include linux/delay.h. 2012-04-09regulator: core: Use a struct to pass in regulator runtime configurationMark Brown1-5/+6
Rather than adding new arguments to regulator_register() every time we want to add a new bit of dynamic information at runtime change the function to take these via a struct. By doing this we avoid needing to do further changes like the recent addition of device tree support which required each regulator driver to be updated to take an additional parameter. The regulator_desc which should (mostly) be static data is still passed separately as most drivers are able to configure this statically at build time. With the addition of a platform device mfd_cell pointer, MFD drivers can go back to passing platform data back to their sub drivers. Change the interface used by set_voltage() to report the selected value to the regulator core in terms of a selector used by list_voltage(). This allows the regulator core to know the voltage that was chosen without having to do an explict get_voltage(), which would be much more expensive as it will generally access hardware. 2010-05-28mfd: AB3100 register access change to abx500 APIMattias Wallin1-17/+16
The interface for the AB3100 is changed to make way for the ABX500 family of chips: AB3550, AB5500 and future ST-Ericsson Analog Baseband chips. The register access functions are moved out to a separate struct abx500_ops. In this way the interface is moved from the implementation and the sub functionality drivers can keep their interface intact when chip infrastructure and communication mechanisms changes. We also define the AB3550 device IDs and the AB3550 platform data struct and convert the catenated 32bit event to an array of 3 x 8bits.
