2009-09-11[S390] tape: Use pr_xxx instead of dev_xxx in shared driver codeMichael Holzheu1-3/+1
For messages from the tape core that is shared between the 3590 and 34xx tape disciplines, we want to have the "tape" prefix instead of "tape_3590" or "tape_34xx". 2009-06-15s390: remove driver_data direct access of struct deviceGreg Kroah-Hartman1-1/+1
In the near future, the driver core is going to not allow direct access to the driver_data pointer in struct device. Instead, the functions dev_get_drvdata() and dev_set_drvdata() should be used. These functions have been around since the beginning, so are backwards compatible with all older kernel versions. With recent cleanups, there is no place where low level driver directly manipulates request fields. This means that the 'hard' request fields always equal the !hard fields. Convert all rq->sectors, nr_sectors and current_nr_sectors references to accessors. While at it, drop superflous blk_rq_pos() < 0 test in swim.c. When I review ocfs2 code, find there are 2 typos to "successfull". 2007-10-12[S390] tape: Fix medium state handlingMichael Holzheu1-9/+17
Currently there are situations, where the tape medium state (loaded, unloaded, unknown) is not set correctly. The reason is that the medium association field is used to determine the medium state. This not always leads to correct results. To fix that we use another field of the medium sense data instead. Every usage of rq_for_each_bio wraps a usage of bio_for_each_segment, so these can be combined into rq_for_each_segment.
