In preparation to enabling -Wimplicit-fallthrough, mark switch cases where we are expecting to fall through. Notice that, in some cases, I replaced "FALLTHROUGH" with a "fall through" annotation and then placed it at the bottom of the corresponding switch case, which is what GCC is expecting to find. 2018-08-30scsi: aic7xxx: Fix build using bare-metal toolchainSam Protsenko1-39/+1
Bare-metal toolchains don't define __linux__, so aic7xxx build with bare-metal toolchain is broken. This driver codebase used to be partially shared with FreeBSD, but these days there is no point in keeping the compatibility around. So let's just drop FreeBSD related code and get rid of __linux__ checking in order to fix the build using bare-metal toolchains. The kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kcalloc(). This patch replaces cases of: kzalloc(a * b, gfp) with: kcalloc(a * b, gfp) as well as handling cases of: kzalloc(a * b * c, gfp) with: kzalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp) as it's slightly less ugly than: kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp) This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like: kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp) though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion. Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were dropped, since they're redundant. 2018-03-15scsi: aic7xxx: aic79xx: remove VLAsStephen Kitt1-4/+4
In preparation to enabling -Wvla, remove VLAs and replace them with fixed-length arrays instead. The arrays fixed here, using the number of constant sections, aren't really VLAs, but they appear so to the compiler. Replace the array sizes with a pre-processor-level constant instead using ARRAY_SIZE. Take the Diag/Activity-LED of the HBA out of diagnostic mode on PM resume after successful PM resume from standby and HBA restart, it remained always on before. If something fails before complete recovery, it should remain on, since it is a diagnostics LED, reason for the used higher layer for the clear. 2008-02-18[SCSI] aic7xx: mitigate HOST_MSG_LOOP invalid SCB ff panicJames Bottomley1-5/+6
The panic occurs if we get a MSGIN or MSGOUT for an unidentified SCB (meaning we didn't identify the outstanding command it was for). For MSGIN this is wrong because it could be an unsolicited negotiation MSGIN from the target. Still panic on unsolicited MSGOUT because this would represent a mistake in the negotiation phases. Not doing this can cause cards less than u160 capable to send out PPR offers to devices they can't then deliver on ... causing some devices to get a bit confused. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
